where to stay in macau?

sabi ko sa kanya iconsider niya din yung hotel sintra and royal hotel. yun kasi yung mga nakita ko na magagandang feedback.

we stayed at hotel sintra, nasa center lang siya then we also stayed for 1 [textspeak!] sa venetian! its the best

hotel royal macau...cheap price for a 5-star hotel. very nice room and staff.

For those who are still debating for a room -

I highly recommend Ole London Hotel. It's a 10-15min walk from the city center and has a bus stop nearby straight to the airport.

Nice and affordable hotel. They upgraded us free to deluxe because the standard wasn't available na.

They will ask for deposit though - I remember they asked 200MOP or so, our room cost around 400 MOP (good for 2). Yun lang, but of course they'll give it back naman. Hehe!

The park across the street is nice, you'll see lolas and lolos doing tai-chi and children at the playground in the morning.

Sintra is popular here standard room with Breakfast HKD674/night. ok ba buffet breakfast nila? got the rates at www.macau.com. cheaper than asiatravel where i usually get hotel package.

Regency Taipa (5stars) Superior Room with Breakfast HKD482/night - http://www.regencyhotel.com.mo/accommodation-superior_room. is it really far from the city? kung less than 10mins taxi to everywhere, this price is good!

1st day sa macau, city tour muna for my mom & aunt. 2nd day will bring them to zhuhai para bargain shopping naman & the best foot spa! i rather go to zhuhai than shenzhen :-)

^sis, good thing about Hotel Sintra is that it is just walking distance to Senado Square. walking distance to Hotel Lisboa as well.

Not sure on Hotel Royal.
Taipa is far from the city center. Taipa is where the Cotai Strip is located - e.g. Venetian Hotel, etc.

^ what do u mean far ang tampa? more than 10mins drive fr ferry?  i don't mind the distance. been there 2x & i remember maliit lang macau.  i'm just concern if it's really nice, new & good breakfast how do u describe the breakfast at sintra? 3 or 4stars ba tong hotel?

u get the visa at the port. Portas de Cerco(Macau). u walk about 500m between the 2 customs posts. after the Zhuhai post, nasa bungad na ang shopping center. crossing open 7am to 12:00 midnight.

re: visa, sis, sure ka bang meron pa nyan till now dun sa border ng Macau? kasi alam ko dati meron yan. pero naghigpit na kasi yun China sa mga visas simula nun nag Olympics. lahat na ng foreigners e dapat sa home country kukuha ng visa.
Even yun mga going lang sa SHZ from HKG e alam ko wala na ring visa na makukuha dun sa HKG border (Lo Wu).

@isabella, according to my officemates currently assigned in Zhuhai, nagtanong daw sila kanina sa agency sa Macau (pinoy yun may ari. malapit daw sa church) kung pwede pa nga kumuha ng visa. U-turn visa daw pwede. 9am-8pm. minimum 3pax. 30mop each. sabay sabay papasok, sabay sabay din lalabas ng zhuhai. kumbaga day tour lang sya. di ka pwede mag overnight sa zhuhai.

i think you can get this one since you are travelling with your mom and aunt. tapos pala you need to apply it the day before. di pwedeng same day. tapos may cutoff daw. kapag sumobra sa cutoff yata e mas mahal na yun visa.

We stayed at Metropole Hotel because I saw that it was recommended at PEX. Am not recommending it.

The hotel room had an "ipis" smell. The room was so small and the carpet needed major cleaning. The only good thing about it was malapit sa Senado Square and walking distance to Lisboa, etc.

We stayed sa Golden Dragon Hotel. Okey naman tapat namin yung parang baywalk. Good breakfast buffet.

Hotel Man Va is affordable and accessible. You can read about it in my blog. I also posted a contact number. Unfortunately, I don't have their email address and they don't have a website. We were walk-in guests.

who ever stayed in Ole London, anong bus ang pwede sakyan at what landmark para if bababa na from bus?

^don ako nag-stay sis nong unang punta ko sa macau. grabe, tagal naming hinanap yon kasi hirap magtanong sa mga locals di sila marunong mag-english & iba sila mag-pronounce. buti na lang may isang local na sinamahan kami hanggang sa holiday inn, nakakatuwa sya ang bait.

sis, wala bang shuttle from Ferry Terminal to Holiday Inn? We will stay there kasi for 1night, hope you can help me sa direction going there from Terminal. And from Holiday Inn to Airport din. TIA

^alam ko may free shuttle sis sa ferry terminal. kasi nong papunta kaming hk, hinatid kami ng shuttle. pwede ring taxi, mura lang naman kasi malapit lang. di ko sure kung may free shuttle papuntang airport, ok lang din taxi.

Hi sis, did you end up booking na at Ole London? Wala syang landmark e, so I suggest take a taxi on the way.

On the way back to the airport or ferry, there's a bus stop that has a bus pass by to the airport. So easy lang to go back.

yup. we stayed in Ole London. its just that na medyo mahirap sya puntahan if by bus lalo na pag maulan. pero so far ok naman yung room.
