my husband applied for immigration in NZ last Jan 2008.  we've completed all the documentation and medical requirements.  we are done with the phone interview last April 2009.  last week we received an invitation from NZ to apply for a working visa. 

any of you know how I can be accredited as an accountant in NZ? is there an online review/exam that I can go to? so that once our working visa is approved its easy for me to apply for a job even if its an accounting assistant or bookeeper position.

I have two kids, 2nd year HS (15 yrs old) and grade v (11 yrs old).  any of you have kids with the same age? how are they coping with the NZ environment?

sis in my expression of interest i did not specify ielts. now that I have my invitation to apply, ielts i have to provide na, as part of the requirements.

just got back from hamilton, nz. went there on a student visa (principal applicant), hubby with working visa, and baby visitor's visa. now we're back in the phils. for good. sobrang lungkot sa nz. not to discourage you guys... pero hindi namin nakayanan ni hubby ang lungkot dun. nice place talaga cya, no doubt. but naisip namin anong gagawin sa pera eh ang layo namin sa families namin. we were really unhappy there that;s why we decided to give up our nz dream nlang and start all over again here sa atin.

My friend whose been there will turn one year this coming feb, ganyan din ang sabi nya nalulungkot sya at medyo naboboring. ang plan na lang nya is mag ipon in time ( lucky him within more than 4 mos nakakuha na sya ng job at nagka PR  na) pero now he thinks it's better to go back na lang. pero maganda talaga nz

hi peeps! I'm In Auckland in NZ. My hubby and I were living here since 2007 ... more than 2 yrs na. PR na din kami.

I can say that life here is simple, quiet. Minsan boring pero nasasa iyo naman kung pano ka makaka-adjust. Minsan nakaka-home sick lalo na kung wala kang relatives dito or close friends. The country is beautiful and we're happy here.

We were able to get our WTR visa last October 2009. My husband, as principal applicant, went to Auckland to look for a job last January.  After two months, he found a job and will be starting work next week, March 1. in Tauranga.  Its about 2 hours drive from Auckland.  He is given 3 months probationary.  Once he is stable, me and my two kids will join him, hopefully by next year.   I still need to keep my job since we have a mortgage to pay.

Anybody here from Tauranga?

^ hi sis..pano yung application ng husband mo? sa Immigration website ba ng NZ, gusto rin kase namen try kaso Sales ang line of work ng husband ko, hindi sya pasok sa Skilled Worker category, pero yung sister ko RN sa NZ nag-apply na sya ng permanent resident ngayun, then eventually i-apply nya ako for sponsor para makuha nya ako, pero gusto rin kase namen ng husband ko mag try ng sarili naming application...thanks sa info..Goodluck sa inyo ng family mo.
