I'm from NZ, If you're going to Christchurch you'll love it there. Very English ang dating, old structures and etc. Sa City di nag-snow although malamig talaga, pero 2-hr drive lang sa mga nearby towns may mga snow na. Kung 24hrs ka lang mag-stay, punta ka sa City, you'll see the famous Christchurch Cathedral, sakay ka sa Tram or try punting on Avon River. Pwede ka rin mag-gondola ride sa Lyttelton or visit museums and botanical garden sa City Centre. It's a beautiful place, hope you'll enjoy your visit here in NZ.

Hi Sis,

Usually 1 to 2 years, except for Nurses mas madali, iba kase process nila dun. Re show money, check mo tong site nila re immigration: www.immigration.govt.nz

I think to keep you afloat you'll be needing at least NZ$1000 per family member. Medyo mataas na din kase cost of living dito eh. Rent alone will cost you around $300 per week ha, hindi per month. Plus budget nyo pa sa food and etc. Hope this helps.

Hi Sis,

Malaki ang demand for nurses dito, husband ko nurse dito and madali talaga makahanap ng job, ikaw na mamimili sa dami. Nurses here earn a minimum of NZ$45,000-65,000 annually. Maganda dito sa NZ, laid back ang lifestyle, ok ang peace and order, great landscapes and sceneries.

Kung nurse ka na dyan satin, you just need to pass IELTS then u need to undergo a 2 months competency course to practice as RN dito sa NZ. Start ka sa Visitor's Visa while studying here then apply ka ng Work Visa pag may job na then EOI for permanent residency. We got our permanent residency in less than 6 months lang. has anybody tried having documents authenticated sa NZ embassy?if so, how much, and what documents must be authenticated: Board Certificate, Birth certificate, PRC License, passport, DFA certification?thanks!

Last year kami nagpa-authenticate dyan sa NZ embassy sa Pinas around P1300/document, di ko na alam ngayon. Board certificate, Passport and Diploma ang pina-authenticate namin kase Nurse husband ko. Check mo na lang sa embassy kung ano mga kelangan mo ipa-authenticate, depende kase yun sa profession mo eh. Hope this helps.

hello..  im also interested to go to nz.. much better po ba kung maging tourist muna dun then look for a job? kaso pano po iyon kasi dito sa pinas may business ako, hindi ko din na apply  course ko, may mahahanap din kaya ako na work dun at may mag hire kaya sakin?

I'm here in NZ but to be honest with you, mahirap makahanap ng job dito unless yung profession and work experience mo is under their skill requirements. Meaning dapat nurse, midwife, accountant, engineer, teacher, IT and etc ka. Check this website for the complete list ng profession na in-demand dito: www.immigration.govt.nz

Madaming pinoy dito nagtu-tourist visa muna then hanap ng job tsaka apply ng work visa. Malaki ang chances kung profession mo nasa list ng mga na-mention ko pero kung hindi, medyo mahirap coz priority nila yung residents and citizens nila. Requirement pa nila sa mga job ads pref with NZ experience or have the right to work in NZ, meaning dapat may work visa or permanent resident. Madami ko kilala umuuwi w/o a job offer. They end up studying nursing muna dyan sa Pinas then balik dito.

I'm not discouraging you, try mo pa rin, but you need a big budget to keep you afloat while looking for a job here while on a tourist visa. Rent alone will cost you NZ$150 to 500 per week plus miscellaneous expenses pa.

Yung requirements depende sa profession nyo eh. In-demand dito mga skilled workers, kase may shortage sila dun. Check mo yung site nila kung yung jobs nyo nasa list ng skill shortage nila: www.immigration.govt.nz

You're welcome sis, at least graduate ka na. Pass mo na lang ang local board and have at least 6 months hospital experience dyan sa Pinas then pass IELTS, madali ka na makakapunta dito sa NZ. I suggest you consider NZ, di naman ako biased ha pero pansin ko andaming pinoy nurses na gustong dumiretso ng US but they end up waiting imbes na kumikita na sa ibang countries like NZ, Australia and others. Bukod sa andaming state board na kelangan ipasa sa US, may retrogression pa ngayon di ba? Alam ko mas malaki nga salary sa US pero malaki din naman cost of living dun so mas ok pa din dito sa NZ. Di pa magulo and balance ang lifestyle.

I'm actually planning to pursue Nursing here in NZ. I'm enrolling next school year. I finished 1 year of Nursing dyan pero dumating na Visa namin dito sa NZ so I had to leave kaya di ko natapos. Kaya, you're very lucky tapos ka na sa Nursing. I will have to start again, 3 years nursing dito but it's really worth it. Nursing is a very stable career, globally in-demand pa. Usually sis, 15 to 30 working days after mo ma-lodge yung application mo sa NZ embassy sa makati,  kung ala kang problem sa medical and etc. Better call NZ embassy dyan to ask more about the details. They will refer you to VIA, yun [textspeak!] contact ceter nila. Goodluck. Hope this helps.

thanks for the reply. kagagaling ko lang ng chc, soooobrang lamig nga. hehe. nag gondola ride ako pero useless kc puro fog nakikita. hehe. then nag tram din sa city ( raining pa ). its a nice little city, ok sya to raise a family. i would definitely want to go back pero dapat spring na. hehe.

re:embassy authentication,.i just wanted to make sure lang sana kasi i paid somebody to do it for me, i paid Php10,500 for nz embassy authentication + DFA red ribbon.then i was told that fees at the embassy increased by 150.so i had to send additional 450.

i am also a nurse.modesty aside,how much do nurses make there?i have already lodged my application with the nursing council just last week..will it be fairly easy for me to look for a job there?i worry that i may not be able to find a good job right after the CAP..and are there any sign in bonus with the hospitals there, as in the US?
