Hello there,

I have read the thred from the beginning hanggang ngayon. i am an OFw and planning to set up this kind of business. Pano pala ang set up na ito?

How much is the capital at ano ang mga pros and cons ng business na ito. Before i will start into venture i am planning to make a business plan first kung feasible nga o hindi. kaso i dont know how to begin. Please advice me. Thank you.

@kiz_me1109 yung 300k sis malayo na mararating nun kung hindi ka mag papackage, yung tipong ikaw mag aasikaso lahat, kaw bibili ng materials etc.. PM mo ko, meron din ako sa makati, i can give you a few advices if you want. Pero wala ako nung coin operated, meron malapit samin na coin operated... nakapag start ka na ba?

Hello. Sorry, matagal bago ako magreply. Naging busy lang. Sa pasay area sana sis or sa makati.

I actually attended a Laundry Seminar kasi wala talaga ako idea and I think I need to learn more about the business before I start. So, I have a copy ng lahat ng kailangan. 300k plus charge includes 2 pairs of machines, painting, training sa mga employees and pati signage. They have 35k only for set up lang ng Piping.

Kakastart lang ng business ko mga sis, medyo kinakabahan pero ganun talaga kapag pumasok sa negosyo sususgal ka 😜. May sarili akong consultant every week naman dinadalaw nya ang shop ko and if ever na may problema sa shop tinatawagan ko lang sya. Sya rin nagprovide ng laundry package. As starter mas okay if may magtuturo talaga sayo, swerte lang ako kay consultant kasi mabait sya kahit medyo maiksi ang pasensya ko.

mga sis, been backreading since last week and ang dami talagang useful information/advises... I have second hand laundry shop and wala pa kami 1 month, how do you handle whites po? sabi kasi nung previous owner may nag text sa kanya na hindi daw maputi ang laba namin compare sa dati nyang laba! whaaaa nakakapang hina ng loob!

regarding whites, kung a few pieces lang, hinihiwalay namin tapos ihahandwash na lang. pag marami, separate na iloload sa washer from the colored.

do you guys think that the coin operated laundry is a threat to the traditional laundry shops?

any comments about the booming coin-operated laundry shops? i am losing some customers because of it. can you share some promos or gimmicks na ginagawa niyo sa shop? thanks.

if coin operated laundry shop is cheaper than the usual, threat talaga yan , but so far dito sa lugar namin wala pa naman yan.

pero syempre hindi naman kami kampante, kaya as early as now, we always talk to our clients and emphasize the advantages of availing the services of the usual laundry shops pa rin VS the coin operated one, like, if you bring your laundry to us-- makakaattend na kayo sa ibang activities nyo rather than bantayan ang laundry-- makakareview na kayo ng subjects nyo sa mga students-- etc.

one client nag feedback din na he availed coin operated services at hindi daw sya satisfied kaya bumalik din sa laundry shop talaga, isa pa kailangan bantayan nya yung laundry nya. unlike sa laundry shop na iiwanan then babalikan na lang after.

RE: whites--- same with the comment above, if ilang pcs lang i handwash na, otherwise, 1 load din yan. tip lang: before ilagay sa washer yung white clothes, lagyan mo na ng anti-stain chemical (kung anuman ginagamit mo) yung mga parts na meron stain, like collar, sleeves, etc,-- para tanggal sya agad.

same with stain sa mga bedsheets, lagyan mo na agad ng chemical before mo ilagay sa machine.

nga pala, i used anti-bacterial diswashing liquid (can't mention brand name) if meron kayong tanggap na table napkin or mga items from restaurants or SPAs (di ba oily yun). mabilis lang maalis mabango pa. Anyway, mababawi nyo naman yung price ng diswashing liquid kase higher naman yung price ng items na ganun.

by the way, i just opened the 4th branch of our laundry shop.

My uncle has this business and on their 3rd branch na. Malayo kasi so we can't avail of their services unless dry clean mga items like gowns and suits na minsan lang kailangan.
Location talaga is key unless broad pick-up and delivery service.

About coin laundry, masaya lang siya as experience pero no big difference sa output. Kailangan din take time about 2 hours every time. Ok siya kung may ibang lakad ang customer while waiting pero additional hassle yung drop off and pick up.
So after a few tries, we went back to the usual laundry shop.

About whites, frustration ko yung bedsheets nagyeyellow na Haven't found a shop who can do a better job on it.

Ang common denominator sa laundry shop, they use a lot of fabric softener/fragrance. I don't know if that's good or bad?

If anyone of you service Mandaluyong, ok lang ba to PM me details?

yung fabric softeners, majority of the customers like that. but we have customers na ayaw yun. iniindicate sa slip niya ang personal preference niya.

how much ang charge sa coin-operated? gaano katagal per cycle?
interested kami since mas mura yung puhunan dito kesa apartment

Exatech (mas mura, meron coin-operated, carries Whirlpool - Maytag)

how much po capital ng self service laundromat or yung mga coin operated?

yung coin operated sa lugar namin, Php65/load for wash then Php60/load for dry. 9kg max per load. nagtry kami this weekend lang and inabot ng 165 ang bill namin kasama na yung sabon na we purchased from them. i dont know kung ilang kilos yung pinalaba namin, siguro 5-6kgs.

recently attended a 2-day seminar for laundry. maganda naman at marami kaming natutunan medyo convinced na kami magstart. currently naghahanap ng location sa Paranaque area kaso ang hirap maghanap!

mga sis, on the process of choosing washing machine. anong model marecommend niyo ang capacity ng washing machine? front load or top load?
saw a 15kg LG washing machine pero pang home use lang daw yun. talaga bang commercial type washing machine ang start up niyo. option ko ay maytag, speedqueen or whirlpool tapos pinaka last ko option LG dahil s 15 kg.
and last question, kapag ba may nagpalaba ng king size comforter kasya siya sa 9kg?

@britzm, yes maytag-whirlpool si Exatech. madami naman kaming natutunan both for traditional and coin-op. i think 1 hr lang naman yung sales session nila so no pressure
