pwede sis, tas harangan mo na lang yung receiving area mo. invest in a dryer na din para mabilis ang ikot ng pinalabhan. although 2 to 3 days naman ang usapan when it comes to service, still mas maaga matapos , mas maganda
most laudry shops kasi pinaghahalo ang mga laundry ng ibang tao, thats so kadiri...some yung fabcon ini spray directly sa damit para mabango talaga, i dont know lang sa iba

^ sis,pano kung as in small laundry shop lang puede na kaya 1 heavy duty na machine lang?kasi may dorm sa tabi namin yun pa lang ang nakita kong market nito sa min.try lang muna sana.
any tips/suggestions re: washing,drying,what detergent/fab.conditioner to use.,any info.will be highly appreciated.TIA!

Pwede na din 1 heavy duty washer, pwede mo naman dagdagan later on kung makita mo how it is goin. kung madami ka tanggap definitely you needed to add more washer , kahit di heavy duty pwede na din kahit yun mga smaller tubs. mahihirapan ka kasi kung 1 lang washer mo then natambakan ka na ng tanggap na labahin. Mas gaganda service mo ofcourse coz you will be able to finish the laundry at specific period of time you commit with your customers.

I suggest that you also get a heavy duty dryer para umulan man mapapatuyo mo mga damit at di mabaho pag natuyo. saka yun mga comforter dapat dryer talaga. kami kasi di kami nagsampay system kasi we commit on 1 day full service saka wala din space yun pwesto kasi were renting it out. You get the dryer na LPG operated mas tipid sa kuryente.

Maganda talaga pag malaki machines mo kasi pati king size comforter kasya.

Ako din mostly my clients are students because my shop before is in front of a big university, so kailangan ko talaga matapos mga tanggap the day after I received them kasi you know naman students sometimes have a limited number of uniforms. 

When it regards to detergents and dry cleaning solution I have a supplier (madami supplier nyan magpupunta sayo pag nakatayo na shop mo). Pero yun fabric conditioner, I made it sure na it's Comfort or Downy kasi maganda talaga sa damit unlike those that came from suppliers. But I also have Ariel or Tide especially pag pambabad sa mga white uniforms w/ a stubborn dirt like mud stains.

Sa dry clean malaki ang kita. per piece kasi ang singil dyan. very easy to do it lang naman.

I recommend MAYTAG heavy duty talaga, sobrang tested , very low maintenance at di sirain. Metropole Laundry shop uses this.

Pwede din Whirlpool heavy duty washers, ok din naman eto gamit ko sa bahay. Pero mas preferred ko pa din Maytag. Sa Lavandera Ko they uses whirlpool.

Try to check the prices na lang sa mga appliance stores like sa SM , Im not so updated na w/ the price kasi. As far as I recall it would range 40-60k per unit.

 like pag accept ng clothes pano ma make sure na na di magkahalo mga clothes?pagka dry ba fold na agad di na sampay?
 and sis if its not asking too much sayo ko na din tanong
( kasi ikaw talagang based from experience pag kasi sa mga seminar or training yung mga yun di mashado concrete ang answer,what i mean is mas ok pag real life experience talaga ).

i would like to know how i will compute my expenses/earnings like sa costing ng detergent supplies/elec. and water and what systematic ways to implement kasi iiwan ko lang sana sa helper.

Hi mga sis... pasali naman ako.  I wanted this biz also before I migrated to Canada.

eto naman yung question ko:
-let's say minimum the store accepts is 2kg.  Then yung customer exactly 2 kg ang ipapalaundry - colored and whites.  Diba we have to separate the colored and the whites - pano yun pag halos lahat colored, then 4 lang yung whites - separately ko pa rin iru-run yun sa washer and dryer?

@sis Ichiericci : pag tanggap , You count the number of received clothes. make sure na nasa isang basket damit ng isang customer then i clip mo lang yun service order receipt sa basket. and dapat talaga pagkalabas ng dryer diretso fold na kung di naman ipapa press.
Sis sa bahay mo lang ba yan itatayo?
At first sis, wala talaga ko idea kung paano mag operate ng laundry shop, I didn't even attended a seminar and I was 19 y.o. lang by then, ang alam ko lang is magpa laundry sa Metropole and chinika ko lang ng kaunti yun bantay dun. pero pag tumatakbo na negosyo mo dyan mo na malaman lahat paano mag account ng expenses and earnings. basta ako I deduct lang the monthly overhead expenses ko to my mo gross income.
Try to buy muna like 10kg of detergent and see how long  it will last, mura lang naman yun from suppliers and matipid lang ang gamit nyan since you only need 2 scoops of detergent per cycle.
Ang mahal is yun pagpapaprint ko ng plastics kasi by volume ang order. Then order ka din ng hangers from the factory na para mas mura.

@Sis Medical Transcriptionist: No sis kung 4 pieces na whites lang you cannot load it in the big washer na yun lang, lugi ka sa lahat considering na almost 1 hour ang isang cycle. Yan din dilemma namin dati kasi some students have a very few sets of uniforms like magpupunta sa min 1 set of white uniform lang dala then the other are colored na or di naman kaya puro socks lang ipapalaba, so pag kaya naman ng labandera i ha hand wash na lang nya yun. Kaya maganda din kung may small tub washer(5kg) ka aside from your heavy duty ,dun namin sinasalang yun kaunting piraso ng damit. Pero most laundry shops do mix the clothes with other customers (it really happens), they have this pang tag sa damit (pero nakakasira ng damit kasi iniistaple mo) or otherwise lista system ka.
 Kaya dapat magaling memorya ng bantay mo kasi kung may isa lang na damit na mahalo sa ibang customer pag i claim na nila or may isa nawala , mark X ka na agad sa customer, tehe.

-buy the industrial washer/dryer - for bulk
-then buy rin the ordinary washer/dryer para sa konting load (para menos din sa water/electricity)

^kami kasi nagpagawa kami w/ print na din kaso may minimum order. I can't remember the minumum number of pieces parang 10 thousand pcs yata yun.

Before I migrated to Canada, I was close to openning up a laundry business.

on process pa rin yung plan ko to put up this biz... sobrang busy kasi for the past months [new company/carrer, wedding ng lil bro ko = wedding coordinator]

now lang nagkaroon ng time to think for this biz, anyways I was planning to start sa bahay lang.  using ordinary washer and dryer.  I am currently talking sa mga maglalaba ng damit then saka ako mag-lalagay ng mga signs re: sa biz.

tapos po yung sanitary inspection ba yun, sino ang gumagawa non kada taon?
