I tried doing homemade pesto using blender. Greenish talaga siya? I don't know if marami ako nalagay na garlic pero natapangan ako sa lasa. Mga 2 cups of basil tapos one whole big garlic then mga half cup of extra virgin olive oil. then one teaspoon salt. Kahit nagtoothbrush na ako, i can still taste the garlic.

Update ko lang mga sis. The morning after I made the pesto, naging super sarap na siya! I added tuna and parmesan sa pasta. Everyone who tasted loved the smell and taste. Kailangan lang siguro talaga mag settle ng olive oil, basil at garlic.

Just made my own pesto paste. Its still tastes a bit different from the typical kasi i'm excited to try it out already after making it, i read kasi na i still have to let it sit daw. Anyway i mixed the paste with tomatoes and i'm pretty content with how it tastes like. I used fresh basil leaves, peanuts, garlic and evoo. Yun ceese i'll just mix it with the pesto na i'll be using. I'm thinking kasi na baka mas tumagal shelf life niya if i dont readily mix in the cheese. Not really planning to eat it with pasta. Gusto ko kasi yung pesto dip to my cherry tomatoes ;)

I'll update after one day and see how the flavor will develop! ;D

Here's my pesto sauce recipe:
-Fresh basil leaves (we harvest from our herb garden, madali lang ito patubuin)
-garlic
-cashew nuts
-olive oil
- salt & pepper
Put altogether in a blender

Pesto pasta (we usually use spaghetti noodles)
-onions
-shitake mushroom, sliced
-pitted black olives, sliced
-century tuna hot & spicy (our favorite kasi may anghang nakakagana at pinakamadali hehe) or chicken breast strips (sometimes combined with tuna), pag seafoods- shrimps, squid or mussels
Quick saute lang then add the pesto sauce and cooked noodles. Top with parmesan cheese 😋
