lagyan mo sya ng jars sa ilalaim para hindi magalaw ang base. wag mo lalagyan ng maraming cupcake sa upper part ng tower...dapat mas marami sa ilalaim. Lock the pieces together with glue stick

tipid tips: instead na magpa print sa mga invitation shops, search nalang sa web for free templates and download the font you want. Buy a specialty paper and print the invitation from there. Super sulit at tipid, plus if some of the guests are far, send the soft copy of the incites via FB. Super tipid yan!

yup tama sis, madalas nagpriprint ako ng madaming invites tapos madami rin natitira kasi yung iba di ko napupuntahan so sayang lang, maganda pa sa evites or facebook irtag mo na lang sila, kaso baka lahat friendship mo pumunta hehe joke

thanks for the tip na nakuha ko dito na mag download and print na lang ng coloring pages. i originally thought na bumili ng placemats na mickey mouse sa divi pero since libre dito sa office ang printing, gagamitin ko na lang yung mga papers na hindi kailangan at dun magprint pang color ng mga kids sa party. super duper tipid!

1. use your network! may mga kakilala tayo na marunong sa mga bagay bagay na pwede matipid
-yung friend ko naggawa ng designs sa balloons since nagaral pala sya nun
-yung tita ko din, sya gumawa ng cakes and cupcakes sa binyag ng baby ko.
-nanghiram din ako ng mga props sa mga friends ko para sa mga decors
-pwede din kunin yung mga friends na may alam sa basic or advance photography

2. i also agree sa mga DIY projects
-ako gumawa ng invitation ng baby ko tapos through scrapblog
-candles din ako nagdesign para di masyado dull na white candle lang
-loot bags, where else? sa divi! dami makukuhanan at such cheap price
-decors, research lang online tapos kaw na magexecute ng mga ideas since madami namang info about various themes sa internet

3. stick to your budget and be humble
-kung di mo naman afford, wag na magdagdag pa ng kung ano ano
-wag na magpa impress sa iba to boost your ego. magastos kaya ang magyabang.

i agree with you sis about asking a friend to take photos. my friend who is good in taking pictures said yes to me na siya na lang daw mag picture sa bday ng baby ko. super tipid!

^^sabi kase yan ng mama ko saken. kapag may minemaintain na status, napapalabas ka talaga ng pera para di mapahiy sa iba. i admit kase na minsan ganito ako eh. pero di na madalas ngayon since ang mamahal ng mga vaccination ni baby.

^kame naman, sa sobrang tipid, si hubby nalang nagtake ng mga pictures nung binyag ni baby. i don't recommend that, di talaga dapat kayong magulang yung magpipicture since ang dami namimiss lalo na kung pareho kayong nag-aasikaso sa bisita nyo.

Agree ako sis a_y_e_n, hindi dapat ikaw or c hubby ang magtake ng pics sa events kc talagang hindi mappicturan lahat.kaya kmikumukuha ng photographer n labor lang bayad at least maayos n ang paglakuha kasama pa kyo lagi sa pics at hindi nlilimutan ang important details ng events.after all, yun n ang magsservice as souvenir ng event nyo.

Kami rin halos lahat tipid sa binyag at birthday ni baby, almost DIY lahat, pero pictures and video we make sure na may ibang naka assign. We usually hire a professional videographer, then doon na lang kumukuha ng still shots si hubby. Then most of the visitors naman may dalang camera, we ask a copy of their shots na lang. :-)

We concentrate the budget allocation sa food. That we make sure na masarap at nakakabusog. Tapos yung mga add-ons konti lang or wala na lang kasi minsan pag nag add-up yung mga yun mas mahal pa sa cost ng food. We stick to the essentials, if the party can proceed without it... then we can let it pass.

Also, look for alternatives, cheaper ones of course. Example: expensive balloons can be replaced by balls or other inflatables, cheaper na mas matagal pang magagamit ng mga bata, freebies or giveaways na rin! :-)

I posted here last yr and Im so guilty for not uploading pics.  Here are some DIY/tipid tips for my baby's 1st Spring Fair party:
1.  Invites - we did the lay out and have photoline print the invite like 4r photo.  envelope are colored paper that i made and sealed with 3d stickers.
2.  Decors - instead of balloons, we used paper lanterns from andings.  since its spring fair we used the live colors for the walls so we bought crepe paper that we put up like panels.  we stick cut out butterflies, letters and flowers so the colors are so alive.  same with the stage.  i am proud na eco friendly ang decors namin.
3.  Souvenirs - MIL and I made ecobags
4.  Nail Art - kikay cousin hosted the booth
5.  Cupcake decorating act - Chef cousin taught the kids to decor
6.  Arts and Crafts - cousins pitched in to help young kids.  we had pre cut picture frames for the kids to decorate.
7.  Photo - a hobbyist friend
8.  Program - We didnt have games and we dont have a host, me and hubby opened the prorgam then entertainment is a dance number by nieces.  instead of games, we have activity centers.
9.  center piece - DIY
10. photobooth - my sister took pics and brought her selphi printer. 

Thats it!  we saved a lot woth the cost cause we got lots of help from talented family and friends!
