^sana nga wag silang mag-taas at lagi me promo...di ko nga magagamit yung free 5 photobooks ko kasi wala pang time gumawa. sarap lalo kung magaling ka na sa photoshop sulit na sulit. na-ooverwhelm nga ako sa site kasi pinag-aaralan ko pa lang...natataranta ako! =p di pa ko familiar sa terms nila na die cut chenes...

^oo sis nakagawa nako dun sa scrapblog pero 4r ko lang na-print kasi mababa yung res. pwede ba dun maglay-out ng photobook tapos i-upload sa artscow? gusto ko kasi yung templates ng baby einstein...na-try niyo na bang mag lay-out dun for tarp? pano kaya ma-priprint ng bigger size yun?

^the 3 tarps that we used were designed in scrapblog, ok ang result (will post those after I receive the official photos).  sis try mo iprintscreen yung image na nasa scrapblog, open ka photoshop, go to new file then paste mo dun. after mo mapaste isave as mo na, pwede mo rin icrop muna before saving.  pasensya na kung magulo kase si hubs gumawa nun

for those na December ang events, bongga or simple, as long as di-depend pa rin kayo sa mga suppliers or events planner/organizer, we strongly suggest you book yours na as early as possible kasi po nagkakaroon po ng mga rates/price adjustment ang mga items and/or services during December... yung iba nga po, October pa lang, nagtataas na... then January or February na ulit babalik sa regular rates.

yung iba naman pong mga establishments or organizers, nagli-limit ng bookings to accept pag December to avoid some risks...

^ nope hindi po dito yung artscow. from abroad sya, sa pagkakaalam ko ang pinaka-headquarters nila nasa Hongkong. Maraming benefits pag nagpa-member ka, like pwede kang makapagpa-print ng free na 4R or 5R na shipping lang babayaran mo. Sa akin nga $7.99 lang binayaran ko for 50 5R prints na yun! Then kung gusto mo naman mag-order ng photobook, kung new member ka, $6.99 lang ang babayaran mo for an 8"x8"  hardcover photobook(20 pages). Merong mga free templates na gagamitin mo kaya drag and drop ka na lang ng mga photos. It's really a super tipid tip na yun sa mga mommies kasi kung dito ka pa papagawa ng photobook, more than 1k ang babayaran mo!

in USD ba yung mga presyo sis? yung prices na sinabi mo for ordering lang po yun? yung shipping naman how much sya? kunyari yung photobook magkano aabutin ng shipping? tsaka ano yung inside nun hardbound din? kasi may iba hardbound yung cover pero yung loob manipis lang (mas makapal na paper compared sa magazines) pero hindi same material as the cover.

I think most families are going on "super tipid" mode during these times. We will be celebrating my hubby's birthday and our son's baptism in one party. We already reserved a private resort/house with pool. It's rented out the whole day for Php 10,000.

Food will be home-cooked and served using borrowed chaffing dishes from relatives. We also asked some close relatives to cook their specialty dish as a gift. I think on our last count, nasa 9 dishes na yung handa namin, kaya we're pretty sure busog ang lahat.

We will only use paper plates, plastic cups & utensils. We bought the relatively good quality disposable wares para hindi madaling maputol yung spoon & fork.

I think you get more value for money in spending a bit more on renting a private house with pool venue & having the food home-cooked, kasi in this way, you get to stay and mingle with your guests practically THE WHOLE DAY, compared to holding the party in a restaurant where you're allowed up to 3 hours only, tapos uwian na. Wala ka ngang hassle sa pagdecorate at sa pagkain, pero parang hinahabol kayo ng kabayo to finish the program and greeting your guests in just 3 hours!

Don't worry about the "ngarag"-factor. We, Mommies, just have to learn to delegate tasks and let our relatives help out. As Moms, we want to control and do everything ourselves, kaya talagang mangangarag tayo before and during the party. We just have to release some of the control & delegate to reliable people... people we trust to do the task properly.

on my son's CAR theme 1st birthday, here are our tipid tips for a 120 adults, and about 70 kids:

1. food - paluto: P120/pax adults - pasta, kaldereta, rice, side veggies,; kids - P60 - packed food with chicken, spag, hotdog and juice.  we also served peachy peachy, mini turon and had ice cream cart.
2.  decors - DIY balloons, street signages and traffic light (cartolina & glues c/o sis' bf), tarp layout (c/o sister)
3.  invites - driver's license look alike (home made ko)
4.  name tags - personalized driver's license of the kids (home made too, would serve as bag tags also)
5.  souvenirs - with car logo and personalized name of kids (homemade); got the tumblers in divi
6.  sound system - borrowed from sisters events group, along with some tables and chairs
7.  balloon centerpieces w/ candies - DIY
8.  venue - clubhouse with sponsor ng ninang namin
9.  cake - really yummy personalized cake from shoppersville bakeshop, includes cupcakes 120pcs (spent P2500 in all)
10.  photo - sister and hobbyist friends
11.  planner and party hosts - me and hubby!  kinarir namin.  though super saya lahat, we didnt have much picture with guests kasi were busy hosting.  but all the kids participated kasi kami ang nag host.

spent about 40k, kasama na pati chair and tables rental, food, super daming prizes and souvenirs, and incidentals.  will i do it pa rin for our coming baby, i guess i would!  kahit na pagod, super happy kami!
