mga sis, mga magkano ba manual air pump? balak ko bumili para ako na lang gumawa ng balloon decors para sa binyag ni bebe. di ako makacanvass, umuwi yaya ni bebe, di pa bumabalik, di ako makalabas ng matagal . TIA

^ Hi yabyu! I bought my manual air pump at the 3rd flr Divisoria Mall last May. I'm talking about the green building (w/ the wet market sa basement) along Tabora Street. My manual air pump costs only P35. I dunno why it's uber cheap, I think the saleslady made a mistake hehe kase I asked for a manual air pump sa basement and it costs P65-P100 depends on how good you can haggle HTH!

i got mine at national bookstore...around P230++ ata..meron din ako nakita sa landmark dun sa section ng mga toys/party items, less than P100....

i also wanna do the balloon decors on my son's 1st birthday either here sa house or jollibee or kfc, can't decide pa... i need 2 stands/poles w/ bas e syempre hahaha! for balloon pillars... can't find a party shop na pwede pag-rentahan here in cavite...

^ ako sis, i did all the decors sa 1st bday ng baby ko super nakakapagod but it's all worth all the sleepless nights after the party kasi lahat ng guests had soo much fun kaya mo yan sis basta para sa anak, kayang kaya nating gawin lahat mga mommies

^sis, re:balloon tutorial, i watched "solbebe2000" and "balloon animals" in youtube. si solbebe, di ko maintindihan salita nya, pero maganda yung pag-demo nya. si balloon animals naman, very articulate. actually, madami pa ibang available na videos in youtube. but these two are my fave.

re:ref magnet --
1. buy magnetic photopaper (minsan di yan alam ng mga saleslady, so try to look for it in the paper section)
2. buy elmer's spray glue (does not bleed-through, acid free, and does not warp or shrink the picture)
3. print your previously designed picture in 8R glossy (mine said: Thank you for attending my 7th Birthday party, details of event, tapos pic ng celebrant at the side; nga pala, it helps a lot if you know photoshop. i had 8 copies in one 8R size. mas malaki yung ref magnet ko than the ones given away in weddings. but the size naman will depend on you na.)
4. cut mo yung 8R into 8-10pieces.
5. spray the glue at the back of each piece, and then place it on top of the photomagnet.
6. daganan mo ng heavy book overnight.
7. cut with a sharp cutter in the morning.

disadvantages: feeling ko napamahal ako sa National Bookstore (NBS);  medyo mahina yung kapit ng magnet sa ref esp pag makapal ang naka-ipit sa kanya. kaso, gahol na ako sa oras, so wala ng time to look around in dv/recto for other sources of flat magnet. anyways, meron daw talaga sa recto yung medyo mas makapal, at mas makapit sa ref. di ko lang alam if easy to cut yun with cutter.

advantages of magnetic photopaper from NBS: you can directly print into it using your inkjet printer, and paglabas sa printer, may instant magnet ka na. but i preferred to have my picture printed in Kodak 8R, tapos, i glued it na lang. mas tiwala kasi ako sa printer ng kodak than my printer.

re: nametags: i bought my sticker paper (high gloss) also in NBS.

ako buy [textspeak!] me piñata sa divi, pero nung xmas party dito sa office gumawa [textspeak!] sila box [textspeak!] din, need lang sis maging artistic tayo- kaso parang mahirap kung theme mo ay cartoon characters, pero kung house [textspeak!] parang madali gawin hehe

Hmmmm If siguro ka-close mo or malaki ang family nyo. Instead of giving gifts na maddoble doble lang. maki-share na lang kayo sa mga gastos or mg-chip in kahit tig 300 or 500 to buy a cake, pay for the balloons, paper for invites etc.

^ for mrsbico - For my pull-string piñata, I used an old cardboard box, cut and shaped it to my preferred size and glued them together using a glue gun. I cut a U-shape opening at the bottom and tied a ribbon (this will open the piñata). I cut and trimmed blue crepe paper and wrapped the back and sides of the piñata. For the front, I added a Superman/Batman image printed on tarp material using double-sided tape. I attached toys at the end of blue/green ribbons using scotch tape and attached it to the bottom of my piñata. I glued blue crepe paper to seal the bottom and hide the taped ribbons. Before closing the top, I dropped 80pcs chocolate bars w/ stickers and confetti. I added two nylon strings before sealing the top with a lot of glue (using a glue gun). ^thanks sis! nakabili ako ng barney pinata. pero lagyan ko na lang ng decors using crepe paper, kasi parang napaka simple nung nabili ko.

hi=) nakakainspire basahin itong specific topic, because of budget, i choose to have good food nalang instead of entertaiment and other stuff, kaya i plan to do the balloon decor myself, and find ideas for the give aways, and since i dont have games na, im trying to think of activities for the kids to do para di naman sila mabore sa party, im having it at a restau kasi eh....kaso, medyo kabado ako, di ko lam kung kaya ko to, and im afraid of what other people might comment...lalo na yun iba sasabihin sa kin na y ko tinipid 1st bday ng baby ko....

I don't know if it's too late but to share na din the ideas to others.

Kung walang games, you can do the ff:
have pinata, balloon burst or pabitin para exciting ng konti sa kids
bring coloring materials, puzzles - something to keep them busy and entertained
make sure you have ice giveaways/lootbags that they can tinker with during the party
have cupcakes or cookie pops for the kids

^sis you may want to try kay sylvia reynoso-gala. meron sila baking & cooking classes everyday. may website na din sila so you can check the scheds. ang alam ko nag increase na sila ng fee kasi dati p800-900 lang per session eh. ako din mag bake ng cupcakes & parang i want to make din cookie lollies hindi ko pa lang alam gawin kung paano. pero we'll order cake sa bday ng baby ko kasi hindi na kaya ng powers ko iyon.
