ano po kayang HMO na may magandang package pero monthly payment? nakikita ko kasi puro annual, semi-annual and quarterly lang. gusto ko sana ikuha ang parents ko (above 50 years old at isang senior citizen na).

Looking forward to this very much! Reps from the big HMOs already have a lot of bad things to say about them, but they need to shut up -- we all have to start somewhere. I'm all out for supporting businesses and companies that cater to us freelancers, self-employed, and business starter-uppers!

For those who work for HMO/insurance companies, please try to come up with a health insurance product for freelancers. We are a growing part of the work force and predicted to only grow bigger in the future. You'll make a KILLING if you'd be the first to offer it!

3 years na ako nagbabayad ng Caritas, pero iterminate ko na. kasi ang papangit ng doctors nila. parang yung mga walang pumupunta, yun ang mga accredited nila.

Says in ICare's out-patient services:

Consultation, including specialist's evaluation
Laboratory examination and all other diagnostic procedures prescribed by the I-Care Physician

So does this mean that with my ICare card, I can get x-ray tests and lab tests done at their accredited hospitals? So long as it's been prescribed by their Physician?

And specialist's evaluation can be like an orthopedist or a gynecologist?

Bakit kaya hindi covered ng Maxicare ang OB cases like giving birth or CS? Napakahalaga pa naman nun.

^most HMO's sis, cover only the illnesses, giving birth is not an illness of course. although if covered, syempre may mataas na premium dyan alam ko.

Sis, Kung may healthcard si hubby mo baka pwede ka gawin dependent. Usually covered up to 2 dependents yun at 50% discount..

Gusto ko po sana apply ng sarili kong card para yung Mama ko kasali. Payag naman asawa ko kaya lang ito yung di namin alam kung  pwede ako makakuha kahit po Unemployed ako.

yes u can have your own health card as INDIVIDUAL ACCOUNT. but, unfortunately you cannot enroll your mother as your dependent due to hierarchy policy. Once you are married, 1st priority to be enrolled is your spouse, 2nd is your child (if there's any). Pag single naman, 1st priority is your parents and 2nd is your siblings.
