ask ko lang mga sis, ano yung pinaka mura at magandang HMO pag mag aapply ako as individual?
you usually get what you pay for. if you want quality healthcare coverage, you will have to pay a little more. I suggest Maxicare or Intellicare but they won't come cheap.

why would you need to use 2 HMO cards? one HMO card is usually all that you need. pag hindi na approve or covered, then maybe you can try your 2nd HMO card.

question mga sis. meron kami health insurance dito sa company namin.kaka sign lang namin.pano po kung gusto ko din magamit yun ng mother ko in case. lalagay ko ba sya as dependent? and may babayaran ba ako dun?
thank you :)

Depende sa company mo yan sis. Sa amin kasi pag married, ur dependents (spouse and kids only) get their separate card free. Pag single, u can enroll your parents but you have to pay for the premium which is most likely the case for most of the companies. Quite unfair nga for the singles eh.

para sa akin sis caritas health shield, coz they have 70% return of your contract price after maturity date of your card. sa iba kasi, u pay yearly and di na un applicable sa next year.

I'm just wondering kasi we have 2 different HMO. Our first is okay na never kame naka encounter ng problem, actually never use the second one, nag-iisip lang ako na perhaps pwede dalawa lol!

Hi mga sis. Can anyone refer an agent for Valucare? I've called them twice and finally they sent me a general quote. I asked if they can meet and explain the terms in person pero it's been days na since my last follow-up. I'm interested in getting the family package but so far, they are no one is interested in responding promptly on their end. Please help mga sisses!! Thanks in advance :)

piece of advice to everyone. wag po tyo magpaloko sa CARITAS. sobrang pangit ng benefits. mapapagastos ka lang. yes i agree maganda sya at face value but if you are a plan holder and you need it for hospitalization, mahihighblood ka. lahat ng policy na pwede gawing excuse para di mo magamit ang caritas idadahilan nila sau. its the hmo of my mil and i assure you full of stress ang life mo if caritas ang hmo mo.

sis, do you know of any HMO that is senior citizen friendly?? kainis kasi yung HMO ng mom ko. Nagstop ang coverage once you reach 65. You can apply  for their senior citizen program pero subject to medical evaluation and review. Eh duh, hinde nakapasa mom ko kasi may underlying medical condition siya. Nanghihinayang tuloy ako sa premiums na binayad ng mom ko all these years tapos hinde naman pala niya magagamit card niya sa pagtanda niya. Kaasar talaga.

Haay naku, ewan ko nga ba bakit nagproliferate itong mga HMOs. Patients do not like their lousy service and doctors do not like how these companies pay so cheaply for their services.

Sorry may kasamang vent.

Hi ms_simone: anong HMO ng mom mo? I am also looking for senior citizen as both my parents are both above 60 already. medyo mahirap pa nga mag-inquire for me since i am overseas.:(
Nakita ko yung VIP program ng medicard. I have had them before when I was still working in PH pero corporate plan so wala ako problem.

Now, my dilemma is about getting an indivdual plan. Medyo pricey but I think worth it na kaysa lagi akong mag-wo worry.

^hi sis, HMO ng mom ko before is fortunecare. May senior citizen program sila pero subject to review. Hinde ko sure kung maxicare meron ding similar program.

The top HMOs I think right now are maxicare, medicard, fortunecare, philcare, intellicare.

panong excuse sis? last year na dengue father ko and nagamit naman niya ng walang problema. 80thou ang hospital bill, covered naman.

kaya last week lang, pinakuha niya kami ng husband and sister ko. 21thou+ quarterly , 5years to pay. then 10years coverage. sa 11th year, may makukuha ka pang pera. 70% ata of 200thou.

For those who work for HMO/insurance companies, please try to come up with a health insurance product for freelancers. We are a growing part of the work force and predicted to only grow bigger in the future. You'll make a KILLING if you'd be the first to offer it!
