Usual stuff, check up, labs and etc.

Sabi ko sa kanila, you know the history of my father, lahat yan nasa application ko tapos hindi covered, ano yun lokohan? But still, i am so disappointed by the way Maxicare handled my father's case.

This was not the first and last time na nagkaproblem ako sa Maxicare na yan.  Basahin nyo mabuti yung booklet nila, mas mahaba pa ang exclusion list nila sa mga covered services especially "and others" part (lahat ng ayaw nila icovered dyan nila i ccategorized).

actually sis they namislead ka nila.. hmm ang alam ko pag company plan then you then you decided to convert it to individual plan di ka nila icoconsider as continuing plan, they will categorize you into a new plan... hay.. kainis talaga yung mga hmo. they are just friendly pag company availment pero pag individual plan ka, nagsayang ka lang ng pera halos lahat icoconsider nila na pre existing.

yung magandang reviews lang na narinig ko sa hmo is yung blue cross. yun nga lang mag cacash out ka talaga. pero pag irereimburse mo na wala ng questions. yun nga lang super mahal. they cover everything daw.

Actually sis, that was the same thing i cleared with them.  Although my parents plans will be considered under a new plan pwede na nila icover ang pre existing nila.  Umabot daw kasi ako sa grace period nila to continue the coverage.  Sa ngayon, i pulled-out my plans with them because of several BAD experiences.  Di ko talaga ma take services nila, as in.

try to check it blue cros.. if your paying naman 45k, add ka lang siguro a lil money pwede ka na sa blue cross. nabasa ko lang somewhere yun na madali silang kausap. agad daw irereimburse nila yun di ko lang alam kung ngayon pwede na cashless.

hay I really need an individual health plan for my parents. I'm from Accenture and binago na nila ngayon [textspeak!] HMO payment sa maxicare. Imagine, 3000thou per dependent na siya from 1200 each ha. grabe di ba  >:(parang di ko kayang mabawas yun sa salary ko. nakakaloka :([textspeak!] po kaya ang pinaok na HMO for individual account. mas mahal ba kasi magiindependent account ako.

@ autumn_lal - ang labo nung nangyari sa inyo :( pero ang alam ko rin is considered as new plan pag ikaw sarili nagcontinue and may 1 year contestability sa pre-existing pa rin. i'll ask my friend about the grace period you mentioned. kung talagang may ganun or na-lead on ka lang para icontinue ang plans mo with them. ano pala reason for confinement ng dad mo if you don't mind me asking?

Saka, i know kung saan ako lulugar but really i felt that time na naloko ako sa pagkuha ng plans.  Misleading a client is just plain stup just to earn profit.  Anyway, after application kasi they will send you a letter saying certain conditions are not covered, when i got the letter wala naman nakalagay so i was really relieved at that time.  Kaso nga hindi ganun ang nangyari.  Anyway, that was in the past na, and besides i will not have any intention of getting any plans with them.  I'm sure meron pang HMO who provide better services.  To answer nga pala your question sis, my father's diagnosis is complicated UTI.

Yung sa akin, covered TransV-US pati yung TSH.

i think sis hindi sagot ng lahat ng healthcard. they will not cover the philhealth discount.. so kung wala ka philhealth medyo malaki lakai din babayaran mo and take note sis pag individual super duper daming ristrictions. pag naagaaply ang luwag nila oo lang sila ng oo but pag gagamitin mo na yung card, ala eto na lahat na lang ng reason is pre existing...

I enrolled for a healthcard (fortunecare) for my father this February 2009. Its totally useless!!! Never nya nagamit even for consultation man lang. I even paid the whole annual membership fee (12,500) in cash kasi sabi ng agent, pag nag whole payment daw, eh magagamit daw sa check ups at lab tests. Pero kung installment, good for annual check up lang muna until maka 2nd year. Even the Fortunecare hotlines are not even helpful at all. they keep saying na hindi nga daw covered at sa clinic lang ng fortunecare pwede mag pacheck up. Sh*t! My father haven't tried going to the Clinic in Pasig kasi malayo sa min. Grabe nakakainis.

Any of you who had a bad experience about fortunecare?
