^If I may answer sis, yup there's a light show at night, as soon as it gets dark they're starting the lights na. There are fireworks too, around 10pm.

mas maganda ang view ng falls from the canada side, but the US side also has its own attraction, their park is a lot better and much bigger than in canada. both sides offer the maid of the mist boat ride, but the US side has cave of the winds. 

in all, its a different experience in each side of the falls which for sure you will enjoy

its nice to see both sides to complete the experience. nothing beats going there during summer syempre pero ang daming tao. i have tried going to niagara on all four seasons. di ko feel talaga to go there during the winter (although i wish to see a totally frozen niagara falls as i have seen in a picture hanging in one of the restos along clifton hill yata).

^ thank you again. ayoko din ng summer sa totoo lang pero naisip ko, gusto ko pumunta kapag super lakas ng buhos ng falls. i know it's unlikely but traumatized ako sa experience namin before sa yosemite. we went in october-walang tubig! hehe.

^Ay ang corny nga! We went to Yosemite din before, 2009 pa yata, ang maganda yung Bridal Veil falls.

Dapat pala we crossed the US side din, tatawid lang kasi ng Rainbow bridge, pero hindi na namin nagawa kasi kulang sa time. Sa canada side, meron din silang Journey Behind the Falls, which is sa Horseshoe Falls naman. Parang counterpart ito ng Cave of the Winds sa US side.

sis dont worry, laging may tubig naman ang niagara falls kahit anong season promise  .

its really nice to go during the summer to see the falls' full glory. but you bet the number of tourists swell around this time. there are other attractions naman besides the falls, on the canadian side, there's clifton hills, the casino at falls views (try their buffet - masarap), marineland, skylon, etc.

the US side i particularly like talaga the park. there is a bridge you can cross where you will be on top of raging waters.

ok din to go late summer/early fall, like ngayon maganda ang weather - maaliwalas, sun shinning bright but not muggy hot. next week we will cross the border, hopefully daan kami Niagara falls - US side. enjoy your trip!

^^ originally, dadaan talaga ng nyc. but since the trip is 7 hrs pala, 'di na kaya. walang karelyebo si bf eh hehe wawa naman. ako na walang silbing gf haha. are there buses or trains that will take us from nyc to niagara?

check greyhound bus.
there are morning, noon and night trips that you take at penn station in NYC bound for toronto, you can get off before the border crossing. meron din yata hanggang niagra NY lang na bus.

we went end of july medyo mainit init pa! pero okay na din.. we used subways lang to get around! very inspiring yung statue of liberty talaga.. i dont know why but I felt so happy when I got there and saw her in person! Dream come true for me.

How's the weather in NY during the last week of October / first week of November? Should we bring jackets or pwede na yung clothes alone?

^If you're coming in from Manila, definitely bring jackets. Not unless gusto nyo na magshopping sa NYC for it. Usual temps in fall are 40-60sF so roughly mga 5-15C yun. Malamig na in Manila standard. Malamig sa umaga at sa gabi. In cases na cloudly and rainy, then it's gonna be colder.
