I just got back from NYC. Our hotel was perpendicular to 5th Ave, but then again, puro window shopping lang cause all the stores were fancy designer stuff. Tiffany was heaven. I saw Lindsay Lohan there.

Walking distance lang din yung Madison Ave. Saks 5th was right around the corner. We bought stuff mainly from Macy's and 7th Ave. We tried Century 21 too but sobrang gulo when we went. Parang Divi, hehe. BF and I went crazy in the shoe department in the basement.

wow.. parang gusto ko din pumuntang NYC... mom ko nagstay jan mga 20yrs (andito na sya ngayon sa Pinas :p ) then my sis is working din jan mga 10yrs na siguro.. apply nako ng Visa hopefully this November to visit my sis and her new baby hehe.. sana makapasa ako..

For super cheap pasalubong, go to Jack's. It's a one dollar store but the items they sell there don't look like they cost only one dollar.  I suggest you shop at Jersey Gardens in NJ too. Tax-free ang clothes and shoes sa NJ.

yep sis...sad to say d nya naasikaso papers nya that's why we were never petitioned... she came home para bantayan dad namin (haha just kidding)... bumalik sya dito to manage our 2 businesses na napapabayaan na.. my dad will be going there to visit my sis mga january next year ... after ng dad ko, sya na naman daw babalik dun for a vacation.. d kasi pwede iwanan business namin.. kailangan my maiwan sa kanila since my mga trabaho din kaming mga anak nila.. feeling ko nga miss nya na NYC eh...parang 2nd home nya na kasi yun.. haaay... sana makapunta din ako dun..hirap kasi mag-apply ng visa lalo na single ka.. any tips?

new york is really fun. im in the states now and will stay for another 3 months and i go to new york every weekend.  i have friends who live there and there so many places aside from the usual "go to" places in new york na sobrang sarap din.  specially eating. by far my favorite store is forever 21 sobrang mura and maganda yung items.  for food, varried.  try looking on line sa mga highly rated, you can choose on whats the price range also.  my friend lives on the east side, 14th and ave b and there is this hole in the wall place called artichoke and hindi naubusan ng pila. kahit na 2am may pila pa din!!!

i agree.. the best anf forever 21 sa NY! ang laki kase compared sa ibang branches nila and supe mura.. trendy pa.. saka dun sure na ok yung sizes for asian din.. katuwa.. kaka miss tuloy NY.. kaso nadedepress ako dun whenever na natatapat na winter ang punta ko ng US.. muka ganun nanaman this year.. winter time nanaman ako pupunta.. baka may pupunta by latter part of this year sa inyo mga sis ha.. let me know para hindi naman depressing..

i'm excited to go to new york na.^.^ will go to the states kasi next year.^.^ i read kc concepcion's blog about new york and it made me even more excited tapos nabasa ko pa mga reviews dito. ang saya saya!^.^

Here are Top 10 Budget Hotels from their flagship newspaper New York Times (requires registration but free).

I recommend The Gerswhin Hotel, too cool for words.  Ganda ng place, artsy-fartsy and at least cheaper than other budget hotels. Lapit naman and near bus stops. East-side so it's safe .   

New York hotels are super expensive talaga kahit i-compare mo sa LA. You can also do B&B Hotels, pero most are like booked ahead (3-months yung iba).

I HEART NY! There's nothing like it. The place is full of life!
Madami pa kong kailangan puntahan, good thing I'm staying here in NJ which is 30 minutes away from Manhattan... I'm taking my time visiting each place. Among the museums, MOMA is my favorite. Enjoy din yung pagpunta sa Empire State Bldg. though 2 hours yung pinila ko para makaakyat sa observatory deck. I love shopping at H&M on 5th ave. I spent an hour just chilling out at Central Park. Nakakarelax yung athmosphere dun. I wanna comeback sa winter para makapagskate sa wollman rink =) Medyo naguguluhan pa ko sa subway so more often I take the cab pero minsan I just walk.. One time, the weather was really good.. I walked from 38th to 53rd sts.. hehe! di ko namalayan... =) NY pizza is yummy and cheap. I love that there's a Starbucks on practically every corner. I also tried the on location tour of Sex and the city hotspots. It was an amazing experience. Every single time I go to Manhattan, I passed by Times Square. Next week, I might watch Chicago on Broadway, Go to Statue of Liberty and try Serendipity.
