@sis alit, sa pagkakaintindi ko sa post mo I think you're in letter G. You still need to wait for the NVC or Embassy to gave you a letter in order for you to schedule an appointment. But it doesn't hurt to call NVC or the USE Manila to be sure lang if you can schedule your interview since case complete naman kayo noon Oct 22 pa.

@sis asia711, since gusto munang mag married sis maybe if you have some relatives here sa US that can co-sign for you on I-864 mo. Kahit zero income ka basta you have a co-sponsor that's willing to sign the I-864 together with you tapos yung income nya nakapasa sa 125% Poverty Guidelines. You can get married next year and petition your husband while you're still finishing your schooling yung petition mo is running. So after 8months to a year or at maybe 2 years tapos na case nyo and you will be together na.

hello mga sis, tapos na rin ang interview ko. approved na hay! problem na lang namin is ang baby namin kasi nahiwalay yung petition niya.

I learned something though, and I think I've seen it posted here,
yung date of medical natin is the starting date of the visa. I'm not sure lang if it applies to all categories...

@sis lyn ang bilis process ng IR-5 do you think it is the same with IR-1? Kasi baby ko Dec 1 lang binigay NOA up to now initial review pa rin sa uscis. ang visa ko is hanggang june 13 lang...I'm worried kasi baka maiwanan siya

@sis aien, why hindi kasama yung baby mo sa petition? If you have included her sa forms mo I think makakasa mo sana cya. But I think maybe the petitioner can call USCIS to expidiate the process sis. Describe the reason why they will grant you to expidiate the case. Maybe hardship? You can't leave your baby behind when you already have a deadline on your visa.

After they grant you na e-expidiate ang case ng baby mo sa USCIS, they (USCIS) will transfer your baby's papers sa NVC. When NVC has the physical papers na of your baby, you can then asked NVC to expediate your baby's case para e-transfer nila sa US Embassy Manila yung papers nya. Here's a format on how to asked to expidiate sa NVC.

To request an expedite from NVC:
1) Call NVC and tell them that you received an Expedite Approval from USCIS. They will ask for your case number.
2) You will be asked to send a Doctor's letter by snail mail to a NVC Supervisor.
3) Ask if you can Fax or Email the letter instead. Email is an option but they do not tell you unless you ask.
4) Your email must:
be addressed to the USCIS Supervisor given to you during the phone call and contain:
a) Email subject line "Attention Supervisor (supervisor's name)
a) your name and birth date
b) your beneficiary's name, birth date and USCIS case number
c) A justification for your need of the Expedite service
d) the Doctor's letter explaining you medical condition "in layman's terms", if not doctor's letter, documents/evidence why you need to expidiate the case.

How old is your baby sis, maybe you can tell them you can't just leave your baby behind. The baby is solely depending on you.

Case to case basis naman ito if USCIS will grant your service request for expediate your baby's case.

If ever di ka nila grantan to expidiate sis. You can just come here sa US, wait to receive your GC sa mail (usually take like 2-4 weeks), get a SSN then come back dyan sa Pinas to process your baby's papers.

Basta naka patong kana sa US before ma expired visa mo, okay ka nang bumalik sa Pinas may valid reason ka naman why you have to.

PS: I think IR-1 and IR-5 are fairly the same process sis. Basta if they gave you an email and needed you to submit or pay something, do it as early as you can.

PPS: Once USCIS or NVC grant you expidiency, the process is very fast sa USCIS maybe a month or 2, sa NVC more like a week or 2. And once US Embassy Manila received the papers forwarded by NVC you can call them if sa schedule of your interview date and medical. I think a week or 2 din may respond kana. You can pay the AOS and IV Fee Bill sa Embassy na. I read someone who did this sa visajourney pinoy din. 48 days lang for USCIS approval, 8 days sa NVC process, after 2 weeks na nasa US embassy yung papers nila they had their medical and the interview was schedule a week after. Pretty fast dba?

@sis aien: i agree with sis lyn. i think dapat automatic bitbit yung baby kasi ganun yung ginawa ng stepdad ko. he migrated here 20 years ago, siya lang ang pinetition ng parents niya, bale hindi kasama sa petition yung 2 children (aged 1 and 4 nung time na yun) sa 1st wife ni dad. pero nung time na ni daddy umalis, sinabi niya lang sa US embassy na may two children siya na di niya pwedeng iwan. ayun, nabitbit niya stepbro/stepsis ko. hindi na kinailangan ng separate petition... marami din akong kilala na ganun ang case. automatic bitbit ang child without needing a separate petition... Parang carried na siya sa petition mo... Something like that. Di ko lang alam yung full process hehe.

tanong ko lang. pwede ba i petition ang parents kung greencard holder ka lang? i understand only U.S citizens have this option.. but what if nabuntis ka? and you need them to take care of the baby? pwede kaya?

@cherry*coke, nope you can't. You might let your parents apply for a tourist visa though.

@sis aien, what sis asia describe/yung scenario is if when current na yung PD mo and when you fill up the forms sa dependent area you put the baby's info (name, DOB, etc). So para alam nila may baby and included cya when you fly here.

sa friend ko ganito din nakasama sia sa pag alis ng asawa at mga anak nia papuntang US... her hubby was petitioned under F1 and 2 children as derivatives, during the interview the consul advised them na magpakasal sila so ayon nakasabay agad sia na hindi na kailangan ng separate petition pagdating ng hubby nia sa US...' pwede pala ang ganito ano? kaya swerte nia...

yeah sis kaya nga swerte nia kasi nakasama sia kaagad imagine F1 category ang hubby nia (naging hubby na nia pala sa ngayon,hehe) pero sinama sia sa application...'kaya nga naisip ko sana hindi na lang muna ako nagpakasal kasi pwede rin naman pala isabay si hubby kahit F1 pero that was 5 years ago pa since umalis sila, depende rin siguro sa consul yun...'

august 9-F2A pa kami so derivative ko si baby at inupdate ng NVC records nila kasama na si baby.

august 13- we paid na the visa for both of us.

sept 24 - na grant citizenship asawa ko - bale naupgrade na kami to IR1

kaya ang nangyari contact siya ng uscis to say na dapat iapply ng separate petition ang baby ko.

then october send ko ds230 namin ni baby sa NVC. Then send ng asawa ko I-130 sa USCIS.

nov 29 -received email for interview - di na kasama si baby

Dec 1 - initial review pa lang ng USCIS yung papers ng baby ko. up to now ganun pa rin status.
