sis t.h.u.r.r.e from ds230 and civil docs submission til case complete yung sinabi kung 3-4 weeks. after case complete, another wait for interview appt naman. i think pareho na timeline natin kasi kakasubmit ko lang din ng ds230.

sis aien, yung sa akin pina authenticate ko lahat (NBI, police cert, marriage contract & birth cert). pero yung ibang nabasa ko di na  nila pinalagyan ng red ribbon yung birth cert kasi NSO certified na naman daw yun.

^wala naman kaming pina-authenticate pero nakarating naman ako sa u.s. last year lang hehe. read the instructions on their website to be sure kung may changes.

anyway,my husband petition me under f2a category...and last august 20,2010 nareceive na nya yung NOA2....and reading your posts yung iba nabigyan na ng case number...kami until now wala pa din case number...our PD is dec2009  which is current last month pa...ano na ba dapat namin gawin?and in addition to this,may lawyer kasi na nag-aayos ng papers namin...sabi nya wait lang daw kmi kasi by this month baka dumating na yung case number namin and the rest of the documents...
need your advice..hope you can help me to enlighten my mind..thank you in advance...

sis,thank you sa reply ha...sis hindi pa kami tumatawag sa NVC but i keep on telling my husband na try nya tumawag dun...eh nag consult pa sya dun sa lawyer sabi ng lawyer baka daw malito yung sa nvc pag tumawag pa daw siya..ewan ko ba dun...kelan pala priority date nung sayo?anyway,ano na pina-process nyo ngayon after receiving your case number?and paano ninyo nareceive yung case number?thru mail ba or e-mail?

Sis okay lang naman mag inquire sa NVC basta before you call them,lista mo na yung questions mo para dere-derecho lang conversation nyo, kasi pansin ko yung sa customer service nila laging nagmamadali kausap. Di friendly, hehe..

Yung status namin, validating pa lang yung documents na sinend namin,birth and marriage certs namin ng anak ko,since dependent kami sa F3 ni hubby. Ibi-bill daw kami ni NVC para sa susunod na babayaran. Na-confirm din namin na after ma validate yung docs at mabayaran, it will take several months bago daw dumating interview schedule, at buong family daw kami interviewhin. Pero it wont take a year kasi March 1995 yung current na pinaprocess ngayon sa F3 category, eh January 1996 yung petition so medyo malapit na daw.

mga sis.. ask ko lang, tapos na kami for medical exam sa st. lukes. nakuha na namin result cd-xray hindi na kami pinabalik and tapos na rin yung interview namin.  ang alam ko lang we're not allowed to open the visa packet.  what if nabuksan lang namin yung cd-xray.  bawal ba yun? ang sabi kasi sa st. lukes copy lang daw namin yung cd-xray wala naman silang advice na its not allowed to open.  worried lang baka pagdating sa US pabalikin kami dahil nabuksan yung lang chest x-ray cd.

sis, di ko alam kung mali ang pagkaintindi ko pero parang there's something strange kung wala pang movement ang dox nyo. for oct 2010, F2A PD is 01APR10; nov 2010 F2A PD is 01JUN10. http://bit.ly/blhEWp.

if i were you ask your husband to make a call himself. huwag sya masyadong mag rely sa lawyer. it seems may complacency sa part ng lawyer. better yet, ask your husband the NOA Receipt Number & check here http://bit.ly/cRhyzN. it's a RECEIPT (a 13-character) not the case number.

if you cant get thru NVC operator, try to call AVR nalang. i use google chat. meron silang new feature na call phone and you can call the NVC number for free. just be ready with your receipt number since wala pa kayong case number

@ sis socxymom, if i may add, the RECEIPT number should start with 3 letters depending on the service center where the petition (dox) was turned over;

WAC for the California Service Center
EAC for the Vermont Service Center
SRC for the Texas Service Center
LIN for the Nebraska Service Center

then followed with 10 numbers.

same nvc number sis but instead of talking to an operator, you listen to a voice recorded msg of the progress of your case
when i use google chat, i call between 12 noon - 7:30pm PI time.

you just have to follow the prompts sis.

press 1 for English or press 2 for Spanish

(If you wish to speak to someone directly, press 5)
If not and you are just wanting to hear information about your immigrant visa, press 1

..then you will be asked for your CIS receipt number (press 1) or your case number (press 2)

kung meron ka ng case number, you will be asked to enter the first three letter (MNL in our case)
MNL = 665
kung CIS receipt number naman, may corresponding number for first 3 letters. for example, 1=EAC, 2=LIN and so on..

once you confirmed yung prefix ng case/receipt number, you shall then be asked to enter the 10 numbers. yun lang
