have a question, if your petition under F2B is approved and you have a bf who can leave anytime since he has multiple visa -tourist, is it okay for you to get married in the US after some months, what will be his status then? would there be any problems on that? been with my bf for a long time and we're thinking about it when everything is okay na with the papers. thanks!

What a very informative forum,
anyway, pardon me, bit lazy to back track on all the pages,
we (me and my 2 kids, a 16 year old daughter and a 13 year old son) have been petitioned by my wife who is a green card holder, and the priority date given was June 2009, last month ang pina-process ng NVC ay January 2008, so sabi ko nga, naku medyo matatagalan pa yata ang paghihintay namin, but last sunday, nagulat kami ng mabasa ko sa newspaper na lumundag ng March 2009 ang pina-process, wala naman akong mapagtatanungan dito sa amin about this, and thank God nadaanan ko ang forum na ito, here are some of my questions, and please bear with me,..

1. Is this good news for us at parang malapit na ang date na naka-assign sa amin...?

2. Ano po ba ang hinihintay namin na dumating kung sakali...

3. Mga gaano pa po kaya katagal ang ipaghihintay namin bago kami mabigyan ng visa, just an estimate para magka-idea lang po kami.

4. And lastly, kung sakaling lumagpas na po ng June 2009 ang pina-process nila, and wala pang natatanggap na kahit anong document ang asawa ko sa US, ano po ba ang dapat gawin na process,

Hello bro. Well for your questions, pray na lang natin na continuous ang speed processing nila. If ever priority date mo na ang i process expect a notice from NVC. May mga instructions ano ang gagawin. And for the processing fee na $400 yata. Depende sa visa availability kung kelan ka makaalis. Usually almost two years pa. If wala kang matanggap na notice sa NVC you can contact the US  Embassy or to this website travel.state.gov

^that is just what we all hope for. Surprisingly, F2B jumped from 1998 processing to 2001 in a matter of 4 months! My mom petitioned my sister and her priority date is 2007. With the rate procesing is going, it won't be long and we will be reunited with my sis.

BUT, in 2007 as well, a lot of people sent in applications for petitions because at that time, the price of application dramatically went up. A lot of people scrambled to send in their application (including us) just to save money.

So who know's what's going to happen when the 2007 applications are now on top of the State Consular's pile. Hopefully their new system is oblivious to the volume of applications to process - high or low, it can steadily wade through all of it.

sis can you post the site where the priority date for F2B is 2001? I just visited http://travel.state.gov/visa/bulletin/bulletin_4428.html and the date there is 1997. thanks! :-)

my grandparents did file the petition for my parents at kasali they did that when i was a teenager pa lang...

sana nga pwede pa i-appeal itong case ko...

you're 23 yrs old? current na ba yung priority date ng parents mo? anyway, maybe sakop ka pa ng CSPA. calculate mo na lang. you should know kelan finile yung petition, kung kelan naapprove and kelan naging current un PD ng parents mo. pwede mo lang sya maiappeal once na lumabas sa cspa age mo na wala ka pang 21 yrs old cos once na overage ka na, di ka na talaga makakasama. kailangan un parents mo na magfile sayo ng another petition and that'll take long yrs. Seek for legal advice. baka kasi makasama ka pa.

have read your posts, so informative.. i actually got excited that i can get to share my sentiments as well

anyway, i'm also petitioned [F2B] unmarried child 21/older of permanent resident.. my priority date is march 5, 2009. do you guys think the processing will jump to 1 year every month?! thats so awesome! i'm 26 and prays for THAT DAY to come.. i can't wait! a reputable attorney also handles my case and this petition only serves as back up but i guess this will be much faster..

if i got my math correctly, my papers will be more or less approved by march 2011 given that the leap will be consistent per month. i really hope everything goes well for all of us!

Hi Gen! It still depends on USCIS. I guess the average waiting time  for pending petition takes about 3 yrs. So give it at least 3 yrs. what do u mean by "only serves as back-up?"?

@Penelope - Yea, nablitaan ko rin yun sa ibang site. f2b category sya dito sa Phils.Nabalitaan ko din yung 2002 PD applicants, nagpproduce na ng documents. anway, malapit na naman lumabas yung Visa Bulletin for Sept. sana nga mabilis na. f2b din ako. =)

What do you mean? Manila PD? yung MNL2009xxx? Is that what u mean? Case num. un. Once na approved na yung petition mo, ang PD mo eh yung date na finile un petition and sa visa bulletin ka na tumingin kung anong date na pinprocess nila.

Yup. Kung available na un visa para sa inyo, there's a chance na makasama ka since 23 ka pa lang naman. Kung current na yung PD ng parents mo, Calculate mo lang [textspeak!] age mo minus from the time na finile nila yung petition hanggang sa naapprove. that would be ur cspa age.

hello mga sis...i confirm ko lang meron bang acoompany visa? kasi narinig ko yun sa dalawang pinay na naguusap sa toilet eh...and kasi meron akong tita and tito sa VA na senior citizen na sila, den gusto nila akong kunin para alagaan sila...meron bang ganitong visa?
