Di kasi ako sure if tamang ginawa kong choice of agent ang asawa ko (petitioner) or dapat saakin ko nalang inadress pra mas mabilis.hay,nakakaloka! pls. help naman po.thanks!

@jaymien, ok lang din naman na sa petitioner naka-address, ganun ginawa namin. mas mabilis kasi mail kung within u.s. lang. yung petitioner na lang mag-scan & email ng marereceive nila. may downloadable ds-230 form sa travel.state.gov. prepare nyo na lahat ng requirements even before magbayad ng aos. i-ready nyo na rin yung ds-230 nyo. pag ok na, send nyo na lang sa petitioner nyo (ds-230&docs) and once paid na ang aos, sila na mag-send sa nvc agad nung ds-230 & docs  para maka-save ng time. then wait for about 8 weeks for the interview appointment. good luck!

@hime, if the petition has only been approved, matagal pa hihintayin nyo. accdg to the july visa bulletin,
f1 - sept '95 and f3 - may '93.
kung sa california service center na-file, processing time
f1 - nov '05 and f3 - june '02.

go ahead, get married para sabay na lang kayo pupunta sa u.s. grabe ang hirap ng may naiiwan dyang bf/spouse. good luck!

d n talaga? i have heard kasi some na after daw makapunta dun family ko, i-appeal nila agad case ko then pwde daw ko makasunod agad without having to file another petition and waiting for few more years...

My question is for mommy_j ! coz we had the same situation, i was petitioned by my dad under F1 category but changed to F3 now since im married with kid...i wrote to NVC and attached to my letter is our marriage cert. and my sons birth cert.so accdg. to them any docs submitted have processed and placed into the case file but now im confused to this: they ask me to provide the ff. info. if ever i'll ff.up my applications, so what im going to write in my Beneficiary's name and date of birth? Your Full Name? that made me confused coz am using my hubby's surname now... please advise me mommy...TIA!

I think may chance pa yan sis. Sino ba nag petition for your parents? If ever kapatid nila then naisali ka don when you were less than 21 y.o. May good chance yan. Try to refer to an immigration lawyer.

my grandparents did file the petition for my parents at kasali they did that when i was a teenager pa lang...

sana nga pwede pa i-appeal itong case ko...

There are several new laws no under immigration. I think it's one of them. Good luck to you sis. What's your parents priority date?

What a very informative forum,
anyway, pardon me, bit lazy to back track on all the pages,
we (me and my 2 kids, a 16 year old daughter and a 13 year old son) have been petitioned by my wife who is a green card holder, and the priority date given was June 2009, last month ang pina-process ng NVC ay January 2008, so sabi ko nga, naku medyo matatagalan pa yata ang paghihintay namin, but last sunday, nagulat kami ng mabasa ko sa newspaper na lumundag ng March 2009 ang pina-process, wala naman akong mapagtatanungan dito sa amin about this, and thank God nadaanan ko ang forum na ito, here are some of my questions, and please bear with me,..

1. Is this good news for us at parang malapit na ang date na naka-assign sa amin...?

2. Ano po ba ang hinihintay namin na dumating kung sakali...

3. Mga gaano pa po kaya katagal ang ipaghihintay namin bago kami mabigyan ng visa, just an estimate para magka-idea lang po kami.

4. And lastly, kung sakaling lumagpas na po ng June 2009 ang pina-process nila, and wala pang natatanggap na kahit anong document ang asawa ko sa US, ano po ba ang dapat gawin na process,

hi everyone, i'm so new to this thingy so please bear with me

have read your posts, so informative.. i actually got excited that i can get to share my sentiments as well

anyway, i'm also petitioned [F2B] unmarried child 21/older of permanent resident.. my priority date is march 5, 2009. do you guys think the processing will jump to 1 year every month?! thats so awesome! i'm 26 and prays for THAT DAY to come.. i can't wait! a reputable attorney also handles my case and this petition only serves as back up but i guess this will be much faster..

if i got my math correctly, my papers will be more or less approved by march 2011 given that the leap will be consistent per month. i really hope everything goes well for all of us!

^that is just what we all hope for. Surprisingly, F2B jumped from 1998 processing to 2001 in a matter of 4 months! My mom petitioned my sister and her priority date is 2007. With the rate procesing is going, it won't be long and we will be reunited with my sis.

BUT, in 2007 as well, a lot of people sent in applications for petitions because at that time, the price of application dramatically went up. A lot of people scrambled to send in their application (including us) just to save money.

So who know's what's going to happen when the 2007 applications are now on top of the State Consular's pile. Hopefully their new system is oblivious to the volume of applications to process - high or low, it can steadily wade through all of it.

pwede ba yung parents ang LPR ang mag sponsor?
