Sabagay sa thousands and thousands of application, talagang hinde impossible na makaligtaan minsan ang ibang applications 'no? Pero hayaan nyo sis, pag-na-penetrate na natin yang NVC balang araw at dyan na ako nagtatrabaho, papabilisin natin yan (at uunahin ko ang mga pilipino!) hehe

thanks for the reply, nag eestimate kase ako how long pa ipag iintay ko, yung ds230 namin Oct 1 daw na-receive ng NVC,still waiting for the appointment letter.

@municat - sept. 11 date dun sa appointment letter. anyway nakapagpa-medical na sya kanina and nakalusot naman ako sa guard para masamahan ko sya. kunwari iaabot ko lang yung cash. ayaw pumayag nung guard na kasama ako kasi hindi naman daw senior citizen mom ko hehe. i just printed the email, ok naman. so yun na rin present namin sa embassy this 29th kasi may stamp na ng slec.

^ ang alam ko, mas madali ang processing ng LPR holder than the citizen to petition children. ganun din nangyari sa amin. wrong decision.

as for # of years, i think this is relative. beneficiary priority date is oct 1997. as per estimate 3 or 4 more years. actually, may sites for updates.

i just received my appointment letter this morning.. Interview date is on November 17, 2009 at 8:30am.

ask ko lang puede na ba akong magpa medical kahit wala pa akong narereciv na letter for my medical appointment?

Makikijoin na rin ako sa thread na 'to ... to post some answers (and to ask questions na rin!) since I am also in pretty much the same boat as all the people here My visa category is F2A, my husband petitioned me and our daughter last May 2005.

To answer your question rncj --

>> I received a letter around November stating na meron lang daw konting delays,etc so do not make travel plans yet.
>> Then I got my next letter sometime around May 2009 for the Choice of Agent/Address.
>> Then sometime in between May and July, my husband (a green card holder) submitted the Affidavit of Support and paid na all the required fees (AOS, Visa fees)
>> August 1, 2009 -- I received a letter from NVC requesting that I send na the DS-230 form + all the required civil documents. Which I did send, last August 24.

So yan ang huli ko'ng ginawa and I haven't received any response yet or no next instructions yet... from what i've read sa NVC site and other informational sites about US visas, the interview schedule should be next (provided na complete na ang documents na sinubmit namin)... and that should arrive after/within a 30-day period from the time na nasubmit namin ang requirements.

Hmmm lagpas 30 days na akong naghihintay yata pero I suppose a little more patience is required...tutal, if I am not mistaken, may nabasa din akong post ni Cha-Cha na it took 8 weeks for her interview schedule to arrive after sending all the required docs.

But just to be sure tama po ba ang intindi ko na the INTERVIEW SCHEDULE will arrive around that time? (Pasensya na...nagiging impatient ako ulit. tee hee!)

@rncj, nung ako lang nagpunta sa slec last july, around 8am thursday & friday - ang daming tao. i was done after 4 hrs.
nung sa mother ko, just last tuesday & wednesday, around 9am, walang pila and hindi na matao. sa releasing lang laging madaming tao. she was done in 3 hrs on both days.

so kung dito ka lang sa metro manila, no need to check in sa mga hotels dun (kahit sa embassy). and i THINK hindi naman kailangan na 4am eh andun ka na. kasi sa dami ng tao tumatagal din naman yung processing coz of the line and bulk. tapos around lunch time eh andun pa rin yung iba minsan.

sa embassy rin, my appointment was at 8:30am (na hindi pala nasusunod), i got there at 7:30am, maiksi lang naman yung line papasok. don't bring any electronic device. may kasabay akong may caluculator lang ayaw papasukin. mas gusto ko na maghintay sa loob kesa naman sa labas ng usem. natapos ako dun 12pm.

i called NVC last week then the operator said my case was completed last september 8,2009.

if you want, inquire ka rin sa NVC para malaman mo yung case status mo, kung case complete ka narin...

actually dapat last month pa ako nakatanggap ng appointment letter kaya lang na delay kasi incomplete daw yung AOS na sinubmit ng hubby ko...
