Hi all, I am going to visit my sister sa friday and checked on flights going to Melbourne. Cheapest na ba ang Cathay Pacific going there for 4 pax worth 3,000 USD?

Wala sila problem napaka luwag flying foods out, sobrang opposite ng papasok. Talagang hinalukay ang luggage ko when I went there last Nov. in Sydney Airport.

I miss the STEAKs and malatuwalya sa laking BACON!

Ay favorite ko rin Bacon ng Oz.

Hang sarap parang ham n bacon combo sa laki.  Yum!

Mura pa unlike sa Pinas na kaliit pero ang mahal.

papa-advise lang ako sa inyo my dear sisses

my fiance is planning for me (and our future family) and him na magmigrate sa australia.  his dad is a pastor and madaming connection, mayroon inaanak dun ang daddy nya na nagvouch na talaga at nagcommit to help him in the processing.  nabanggit na rin naman na we already have plans of getting married next year december.  ngayon ang problema (well, di naman talaga problem, more of we just need sound advise), how do we go about it? si fiance is already coordinating with the inaanak-supporter sa processing ng visa/migration papers. sasabay na rin ba ako sa kanya? or i'll wait na lang na makasal kami para spouse visa na lang?

also, ang plan is to lodge the application asap (this july) kasi di ba magtake effect yung bagong point system by july this year.  ang sabi nung inaanak-supporter, kapag ok at naapprove na yung papers ni fiance, as early as next year pwede na sha magpunta dun.

parang ako, paano ako? iiwan nya ba ako dito kasi nga december pa ang wedding namin... i just want lang sana the best way on how to go about migrating to australia given our situation..

napahaba na.. hehe! tsaka can you please give me the blow-by-blow ng process talaga ng migration kung may 'expert' at napagdaanan na iyong process dito.. i already browsed the immigration website and all, pero mejo lost pa rin talaga ako.. hehe! pahelp naman po...

Hi Sisses, Ask ko lang do you think I would be enjoying touring SYD alone on  weekends? I'm flying this end of July for a Training and will be spending two weeks on Kent St. I've checked OZ map and mukhang malapit naman siya sa mga Sceneries. So I'm hoping I can still enjoy touring the city kahit mag-isa ako...hehe..(why not, baka may mameet na hottie right?! )


Also I've checked weather forecasts and just wondering, tama bang magdala pa ako ng Winter Clothes? Baka mag mukha naman akong OA, so a jacket would do na ba? I would definely value your inputs sisses.

Kaso 6 days lang ako, so Melbourne lang ako.  Travel dates ko is Aug 27 - Sept. 3.

Iti ko is:  Aug 27 arrival at 22:30 PM
Aug 28 - 30  to be spent in Wangaratta, Victoria (country) with my cousin's family
Aug 31 - I will travel by train on my own to Melbourne, stay at  a hotel/hostel. Pasyal on my own.
Aug 31 - 2 Melbourne Sightseeing
Aug 3 - morning,  flight to Manila


Sobrang dami kong questions , I hope may makatulong!


1.  I will arrive late (past 9 PM) sa Melbourne Airport on a Saturday. So mga past 10 PM na siguro ako makalabas ng Melbourne.
My dilemma is whether magbook ba ako ng hostel for this (late check-in) or meron bang pag-stay-an sa Airport
na sleeping lounge? Kasi I will actually go to Wangaratta (it's 3 hours away from Melbourne) to visit my cousin
and ang usapan namin, meet na lang nya ako sa Wangaratta train station ng Sunday. The first train trip
from Melbourne to Wanggarata is 8:30 AM so parang iniisip ko di cost effective maghotel kasi tutulugan lang kailangan ko.
Where kaya okay magstay for the night? Mag-hostel na lang kaya ako? Meron bang nag-la-late check-in? Isa pa,
I will take the train to Wanggaratta from Melbourne's Southern Cross. kaya lang yung first trip kelangan ng reservations.
Yay! Pano ba magpareserve ng train if outside Australia?(I am in Seoul now). Bibili na sana ako ng ticket online kaya lang
kelangan pa ring magpareserve.   

2. And meron bang MET Pass na pwede kong gamitin sa Victoria/Melbourne area na sulit?  Yung one way to Wangaratta is 22AUD,
 so 44 ang return. In Wangaratta naman I will have no problem kasi my cousin will tour me na lang daw but iniisip ko from
Wanggaratta, if I will need a train pass sa three days kong paglalaboy sa Melbourne.

3. Among the hotels here, alin ba ang okay na location?  Eto lang yung medyo swak sa budget ko. Iniisip ko rin maghostel
pero may hostels ba na single room and hindi shared ang bathroom?

Saan saan  ba ang outlet shops sa Melbourne? hehe!

What pa ba ang pwedeng ipasok dito? Gusto ko sanang mag Yarra Valley and King Philip island(? tama ba? yung may mga penguins?) But
parang hindi na kaya ng three days ko haha. So next time na lang. At meron one day sa three days na ito-tour ako ng friend ko from
college, but depende pa rin daw sa akin san kami punta. So di ko alam alin dyan ang dapat kong
puntahan with him and magkakalapit lang. Any suggested iti?

1.) Stay  in a hotel - take a taxi.

2.) If you'll be staying in Melbourne for a week..buy the Zone 1 Weekly ticket.
     It covers trains, trams and buses.
     No idea how ticketing works for V/L (Country) trains though.

3.) Hotels I've stayed in:

      Causeweay 353 Hotel- right smack in the middle of shopping Centers
      The Swanston Hotel, Grand Mercure- right smack also + in Chinatown, lots of restaurants.
      Hotel Formulae- the cheapest, very basic and clean.  also near the malls.

All three hotels are walkable to the malls.

4.) Try the National Art Gallery, walking distance from Flinders St. Station.  Melbourne Aquarium- near the CAsino and Southern Cross Station.  Immigration Museum- in Flinders St.
     Shopping Outlers- theres one beside Southern Cross Station

Hi sis Prisma^ Thanks for answering! I booked na at the City Tempo Serviced Apartments in
Queen Street CBD :-) I chose this over Hotel Ibis because it has a kitchenette. I really want
kasi na super malapit sa  Queen Vic Market and I like na I can just cook (or reheat) the stuffs
 I buy there haha.

I also booked na my Vline tickets so no problem there. I really loved how easy it is to plan
this trip~ I booked all my tickets online. Actually, I misbooked pa the dates for my Vline tickets
(booked it the date mistakenly) and with just an email and 10 minutes the Customer Service for
Vline rebooked my ticket to the correct dates, galing!

One more question haha~ I only have four days in Melbourne city, is it worth to allot a day for
the Great Ocean Road Tour? okay ba talaga yun? Will I really miss a lot if I don't embark on it?
Any feedbacks on this? Iniisip ko kasi pangshopping time ko na lang the one day na dapat for
the Great Ocean Road Tour haha~
