went there last year March during autumn season walang ulan. ang lamig sa Canberra. Nag 9° Celsius sa Canberra that time. Sa Sydney hindi ganun kalamig.

^i'm also curious. my friend is in melbourne right now as a working student and next year, i am planning to visit her. what are the factors that will get you approved/disapproved of a tourist visa? and how much kaya for a 7-day trip, estimate lang.. including lodging(cheapest estimate), food and transportation? no shopping. i want to know as early as now so i can start saving.

Madali lang mag apply for tourist visa, no interview.

The catch is, the result it depends on the docs you submit, your profile and final is the consul's assesment.

depends sa pupuntahan mong place. and depends on what kind of winter.

if you're referring to chicago, new york, canada kinda winter. i don't think na ganun for most places. for most places its just simply cold and the wind just makes it colder. In WA, nagkaka ice ang mga high areas.but they melt as soon as the sun comes up.

pero sa akin, generally, for most places, 1 good outer layer which forms as a shell, and a good inner layer which provides warmth. that's it.

Weather is erratic in autumn.  Can be cold one week due to wind chill ( feels like 15 degrees) and warm n pleasant next week.

In winter, hmmmm...malamig...i wear my bubble jacket.  Wool jumpers n coats do not cut it for me.  Bring a scarf too.

hi sis! depends on the budget. hopefully around may or june next year! teka..mahal ba plane tickets sa panahon na yan? i agree matinding ipunan talaga. basta australia is my target country to visit before i turn 25. :p i want to go to melbourne and sydney. haaayyy sana i can reach this goal. what do you think the australian embassy consider in granting a tourist visa?

i have a concern right now and i need advice from people who knows better about autralia visa application. kasi my mom met a friend and offering me to be sponsored by his sons that are already immigrants in aussie. sabi nya matutulungan daw nya ko to apply for visa at makaalis agad since i will be sponsored ng 2 anak nya na engr sa aussie. thing is it really sound so good to be true...sabi nya just trust him na matutulungan nya ko but of course i have doubts in my head.

eto kasi un mga informations na binigay nya pa lang sa akin so far...first there's a fee for application form for aussie "multi-purpose" visa, is there such a kind of visa? and the form fee is 250php and he said the visa fee is around US$137, i'm trying to search this info in australia embassy but can't find such details. he just asked me to submit to him my resume and photocopy of my transcript, diploma & passport. by the way, i'm grad of computer engr'g and he mentioned that his sons could offer me a job with just starting salary of US$1400 and even if they sponsored me I can still find other better opportunity once i got there. also, he was targeting to apply my visa asap so i could fly next month before xmas or new year, is that even possible? i mean is that how fast the processing of aussie visa??? i'm really not sure if i should trust this old man 'cause he was being nice to my mom and he is claiming that he's an engr in pampanga and already been in aussie too. honestly, we barely know him so i don't know if i should take risk to trust him.

Sounds dodgy to me. First of all, there's no multipurpose visa. How can they sponsor you when you are not even related? Employee Nominated Sponsorship is also a tedious process and not all employers are eligible to sponsor, if they are legit sponsors, they would have to shell out money to sponsor you. Not all employers would prefer sponsorship because they would have to spend money in order to sponsor someone. Be careful, they might take you somewhere else. Better be safe than sorry.

I'm actually thinking of booking a package because I wanna go to the whitsundays pero ang mahal!!! rt airfare is 1400, cheapest na yun eh accommodation pa. iniisip naman namin maghanap ng kamag-anak dun haha tapos rent ng van. but katakot din mag-drive kasi.

contiki has tours din but my gulay, 1200 yung cheapest, wala pa airfare yan.
