^ Yup, di ka talaga puede sa formal employment pag naka tourist visa ka lang. They have a Working Holiday Visa, but hindi kasama ang Philippines sa mga allowed to get that visa.

Hello sisses. my husband and i will apply for an AU  tourist visa this august. still undecided if wer gonna have it via travel agency pa. P7,500 kasi per person yung icha-charge sa min ng travel agent. Is it reasonable to pay that much? Or should we just apply directly to the embassy? Makakatulong kaya sa pag-apply namin yung existing US visa namin?

^ 7,500 each? Exag naman yan! Current visa application fee is Php4,600 lang.  Better to do it yourself nalang. It's fairly easy naman to apply for an Australian visa. You just need to make sure you have all the required documents. No interviews pa. I think your US visa will be a big help to your application.

Medyo out of date na nga lang, but I think the process is still pretty much the same. Also, now you have the option to drop off the application somewhere in Makati instead of going through the courier.

for those who has migrated to australia: paano nyo pinadala yung mga things nyo to aus ? di ba 23 kilos lang ang allowed baggage weight s PAL.  better ba na magpacharge na lang ako sa PAL ng excess baggage or parang balikbayan boxes na lang? If through balikbayan boxes, anung courier/padala service ang ginamit nyo?

^hi sis... na-resib ko visa after 8 working days from the date na nag-submit ako requirements sa via center sa makati. i didnt submit nbi clearance and hindi ko na din pina-notarize mga docs. yup , NSO copy ng birth cert kelangan.

para sa mga hindi important na bagay ipa philpost nyo na lang. more or less 7k for 20kg. it will arrive in 1-2 weeks.

for important stuff, ihand carry nyo na lang.

clothes, eventually you will reach the point hindi niyo na isusuot yung galing sa pinas. mas susuotin nyo pa yung mga clothes na binili nyo sa aus kesa yung dala galing pinas. if i could turn back time, i would just bring the bare essentials.

23 kilos ba sa PAL? hmm...hindi ba dapat 20? well, im not a PAL customer pero some airlines talaga give u baggage allowances. pero kung katapat mo eh masunggit and trying to make an impression. tatahol yun. but if PAL is lenient enough to grant 23 to every passenger sa economy class...thats good.

kung marami kayong dadalin sa AUS pwede nyo ipa ship. i think tax free ata ang unang shipment basta migrant. better call customs for the most updated info.

Yung musical Instruments ko, iniisa-isa ko silang hand carry tuwing dumadalaw ako sa pinas.  they're too valuable para mag gamble ako sa shipping. so if you can afford, plan a trip back during a scheduled vacation or so. or you could pay someone to visit you if you really really have something very important.

My aunt in Canada paid for my trip to Vancouver. diyos ko naman ang dami niyang papeles. yun na yung buong hand carry hehe

TIP: it pays to take pictures of your belongings na maiiwan. kung ipapadala niyo later, or for whatever reason, mas madali makipagcommunicate sa pinas with pictures.

One more thing if your going to Australia you should declare all the things you will bring. maarte ang bansang ito. bawal ang may cheese, pearl or wood kasi non living organism daw ito and can harm their country. watch Boarder security sa destiny cable so u will know the dos and donts in this country

anyway, it it fine to bring generic Vit. C capsules (rhea) and Vit. E gels like myra-e?

talaga sis =) dineclare mo pa ba? so pwede rin kaya glutathione supplements, alpha lipoic acid, grapeseed ectract?

^I'm not sure abt those lang.. but yeah, if you're in doubt, declare mo. They will check lang naman yun mga dineclare mo and if it passes the rules, you can bring them inside the country. If not, icoconfiscate lang nila. I bought mamon with cheese from goldilocks before and yun nga, they said bawal esp yun may mga filling filling... confiscate nila yun mamon lol

Basta, kung di ka sure, ideclare mo lang. Di ka ma-fine... pag di ka nagdeclare and nahuli ka ng customs, may fine yun.
