^ Hi, Escadalady. Everything you need to know about Australian visa application can be found here => http://www.australia.com.ph/mnla/Visas_and_Migration.html.

You can take Qantas, Cathay Pacific or any of the major airlines that fly from Manila to Australia. I think Qantas has direct flights from Manila to Australia since it's an Australian airline while the other airlines usually have layovers in their main hubs, e.g. Cathay would have a layover in HK; Singapore Airlines would have a layover in Singapore.

hi escadalady....PAL has direct flights na to AU.....if your going to sydney....stop over will be in melbourne though...Qantas has direct flights too but if your going to Melbourne , stop over will be in Sydney....

Ako mas nagustuhan ko ang Qantas....though medyo snobbish ang crew lalo na pag pinoy....they would rather entertain foreigners.....colonial mentality.....Pero yung service and food is good though....

Pero take off and parking sa runway...saludo pa rin ako sa ating mga pilotong pinoy.....wala pa ring mas smooth sa kanila of all the airlines na nasakyan ko na.

i will be in sydney for a few weeks in october, just wondering what the weather will be like - do i need to bring a heavy jacket?

also, is it true electronics can be cheaper over there? ... where can i get a good deal for an ipod touch or a netbook?

tsaka ano pa maganda i-shop doon, any good local brands for clothes, shoes, cosmetics? ... i'll have only 1 day to shop, gusto ko sanang sulitin ang time ... any inputs will be appreciated!

^ In Sydney, I've experienced having my US$ exchanged at a bank/FX counter at the airport, at a bank in North Sydney, and a money changer near Paddy's Market. The exchange rates were pretty close but the highest was the one at the money changer near Paddy's.

Lugi ka if you have to convert in 2 times imbis na isa.......tsaka may certain tax % na bawas if dun ka papalit ng usd=aud, parang sa europe kaya lagi may dalang euro na pag byahe dun sayang yung 3.5% eh. ......i know a good money changer na selling ng aud.

dun kami lagi bumibili if may travels.....euro, aud, baht, etc

Bourke St
Duty free shopping in Spencer St ( forgot the name)- they have most of the big names there!
Queen Victoria Market
