pampolinous: i went to melb a few years ago and i was freezing. i live in sydney btw where it's cold but it's a lot colder in melb! i'd recommend thermal and jacket if you're not used to the cold

l_neveph: paddys market is opened from thursday-sunday but if you can't make it to those days, there are some cheap souveneir stores on george st near myer entrance and pitt street behind the hilton. also in chinatown. hope this helps!

I never expected na there are lots of asians. Minsan nga sa MRT, mas maraming asians kesa aussies. Feeling ko tuloy parang nasa Japan, Korea, China ako.. haha

try pepper lunch along George St. The best! Parang sa singapore. And yung sa hogs and something, meron sa blacktown westfield nun, try the lamb shanks ata yun, sobrang lambot and sarap!!!

And also, Lindt Cafe in promenade, heaven ang waffles nila!

saan masarap magshopping sa australia? sydney or melbourne? ano yung pinaka ok na mall na kumpleto or maraming stores when it comes to cosmetics and clothes?

meron ba dun mango, zara, topshop and H&M? if ever wala ano yung mga australian brands na comparable sa mga to? and mahilig din ako sa cosmetics, ano mga aussie brands na marerecommend nyo?

I know Sydney so here goes...

Shopping is GREAT in Sydney- malls are interconnected.  You can start your shopping at the magnificent Queen Victoria Building then proceed to the undergound tunnel  connected  to  Myers then up to Pitt St. Mall, Strand Arcade, David Jones....its a big shopping complex.  Catlereagh St for luxury brands like LV, Chanel.

Stores include Sportsgirl, Mango, Country Road, Jeanswest, Portmans etc...

Or you can go to Chatswood, another suburb for shopping.

For cheap stuff, proceed to Marketplace or Paddy's Market

Hogsbreath Cafe ata sis?  Yeah, sa train, halo halo nationalities no? Asians iba ibang  kalseng chinese :Singapore, HK, China then there are Koreans, japanese,Indians,  Pinoys (syempre!). 

I've been to a lot of countries but Sydney is the most culturally diverse city.  Dami din Europeans- Italians, Britons, Irish, Greeks; ME- Lebanese (ang dami), muslim; Latinos- Puerto Rican, Chile....basta halo halo talaga!! Kulang nalang blacks.

Kapit bahay namin before were Japanese and Yugoslav.

I love strolling around the Circular Quay (did i spell that right) ... its a place where there are rows of restaurants surrounding the quay, nice dining at night especially 

share ko lang something funny ... we ate at this resto near the opera house, sarap but i forgot the name of the place ... anyway, as i excused myself to go to the restroom, it didnt dawn on me how tall aussie people are ... as i went inside one of the cubicles, i started to look for the hook where i can hang my bag ... couldn't find it agad, yun pala it was all the way on the top of the cubicle door ... prob is medyo hindi ko abot kasi im just a bit past 5' in height ... i found myself jumping while attempting to hang my bag, which i finally did after several attempts  napagod ako dun ha! ... ay naku, ang tangkad naman kasi nila masyado

Murray river is dry..dati it takes 20 yrs before they experience the drought..but now they will experience it every 2 yrs, that is because of the global warming...accdg to them.

^ papemelroti: its summer in december. very hot but not humid like phils. probably averaging 30 degrees in syd. 15degrees on the other hand is not normal weather and that is pretty cold already for winter! average winter in sydney is around 17-19degrees. if you're looking for mild weather then i suggest end of sept-mid nov or march-april it's spring and autumn then! hth

Wow, it's easier pala to apply for a tourist visa in aussie than in US. waiting kami ng visa ni hubby, and hopefully pag napunta kami dun, after few months makapag visit si momy but im worried kung mahigpit sila like sa US. hindi naman ba sila katulad ng US na most number of applicants puro deny? thanks

 Mga sis, tips naman dyan in applying AU visa, I applied before for tourist visa and presented Bank Certs, Employment Cert & have also travel some asian countries but I was denied, reason states that since I'm single and they do not trust if I'll be coming back :-(.. I want to re apply again this year and I'm still single..
