chelsea : yup, may alam akong 2 companies na nag-ooffer ng training as casino dealer, pero depende, per course sila, like poker, black jack etc// post ko dito ang training center na yan pagnatanong ko yong friend kong nagtraining na dun.

sis , pwede ba makuha yung info details ng mga companies na nag oofer ng training? gusto ko kasi sanang mag shift ng career kaya lang wala akong experience. Thanks!

Sis, baka lang may alam kayo na ok na school for bartending? Hindi pa rin makahanap ng work yung brother ko even if natapos nya na yung food and beverage course eh.  Ngek, by the way, sa CHAMPS sya nag food and beverage. Hindi ok yung turo, plus over 6 months na, wala pa rin yung certificate. Press release din lang yung OJT nila.  Laging sinasabi walang available so they will tell you to find your own na lang, grrrr!

naku sa Champ sis, ang gulo ata talaga dyan eh, nagapply ako work sa kanila, pinapunta lang nila ako dun kahit na filled up na yung position!!! nagaksaya lang ako pamasahe, sa may katipunan pa naman ako pinapunta, ang layo!

maraming agency nag offer ng free training upon your lined up (ibig sabihin pag natanggap ka  na) isa na dun yung magsaysay, so its not necessary na kumuha ka agad ng trainings dahil bsc palang is 5k or more depende sa training center pa yun ha, prior ka makakuha ng sbk is to have a bsc training, pag mag apply ka sa magsaysay din sila mag assign kung sang ship ka ilalagay, marami kace silang pax ship eh kasama na dun yung costa

a sis, okey thanks,, parang ang daming applicant sa magsaysay, pero seems like magoopen sila n office sa mandaluyong? kasi may nakapost sa jobstreet na office clerks kailangan nila.

Hi, I just started using female network because I saw the thread on cruise ship jobs. Interested ako to work as a pastry chef in cruise ship.  Is anyone of you working as a chef/pastry chef or do you know anyone who works as a pastry chef in a cruise ship. Ok ba maging pastry chef sa cruise ship? I'm planning to study in MIHCA kasi tutulungan daw nila ang graduates nila makakakuha ng work sa cruise ship. Totoo ba to?

my hubby wants to apply for a job in a cruise ship... have been hearing a lot about husbands being unfaithful kasi puro kasamahan mo lang makikita mo sa barko sa loob ng contract period mo kasi most of the time nasa barko lang kayo.... minsan daw kahit mag-asawa na magkasama sa isang cruise ship nagkakalokohan pa at nagkaka-affiar sa mga kasamahan nila...

lahat ba talaga ng position may height reqt? I'm only 5 ft. e and i super want to work in a cruise ship. My friend ako who recently left, nagapply sya sa jobstreet as a photographer and almost magka-height [textspeak!] kmi. Kakainggit pag tinitignan ko yung mga pics nya ngayon sa iba't ibang bansa. I've tried applying thru jobstreet din and sa website nila pro wala pang feedback... so sad...

Hi sis xymore... May mga agencies naman na tumatanggap kahit 5' ka lang, dami din akong kasamahan na ganyang height.. You may try to visit some shipping agencies sis, who knows baka naman makapasok ka, try Magsaysay, UPL, Singa, CFSharp,NYK, Dolphins, Career, Maunlad, PTC... Dami sis, or try to log on sa POEA then print mo yong manning agencies para sure na under POEA ang maapplyan mo... Goodluck!

Hi mga girlash..! this forum is really helpful talaga for someone like me na seeking for any info, opinions, true life experiences about cruise jobs. I'm currently working now in an IT Distributor as channel officer and been 3 and 1/2 years narin ako rito and really nakakapagod na at sobrang pressure sa quota quota.. kaya i'm planning to shift career since my target is go abraod but xempre hindi ganon kadali dba.. Cruise line job is my target now, i love to travel,travel travel... I'd like to start to try my luck applying sa mga agencies na nkita ko [textspeak!] and other forums... hirap lang while working, need mag leave talaga..

I went to MICHA last time and got some brochures pati [textspeak!] mga offered courses as Culinary Arts, Baking and PAstry,F&B and Housekkeping.. the 1st 2 courses worth 97K for 4months training and the second 2 courses worth 30K for 2 months training. You can browse their site for more info:

But just like some girlash told here.. Why not try to apply first dba? Wish me luck.. Hopefully kahit Giftshop attendant since my background namn is into sales.. basta maging stepping stone lang, pag naka-ipon.. aral ulit and will get another course of Culinary arts.. hehe.. sabi nga "U will when you believe...."  AJA!!!

im still a seafarer up to this moment,basically thefastest way to ladn a job onboard is to be associated with the right person hehe but if you are patient enough and qualified of course, kahit wlang backer you still have place in this industry.
maraming position avail but the lucky ones are those who are iin direct contact with the passengers cavin stewards, cocktail waitress, waiters and the likes. isama mo na massage theraphist .
as of this moment im still weighing things if i would try a new environment or stay here.

I am looking for any possibilities at Magsaysay, if i really have to undergo with their training, I really will. medyo yan din dillema ko ngaun kasi, ndi nako masaya sa current job ko thats why. Ok ba kung mag Housekeeping ako, stepping stone ko lang and then plan ko rin kc mag aral ng culinary arts when i got good savings there. then, akyat ulit barko with that profession. sa tingin mo makaka ipon namn ako dba? im willing to invest for any trainings talaga. i'll highly appreciate your opinions and advice here.. thanks girl!

awwwwwwww i miss my officemate tuloy na aalis na sa jan *sobs* cruise ship sya and mukhang masaya naman sya dahil pang ilang barko na nya ito.

pero ang maganda sa kanya, 6 months lang itatagal ng work nya before the next one. not too loong.. not that short. tama lang. tapos pagbalik nya, medyo ilang months na pahinga (at relax) back to work ulit.

sayang mawawalan na naman ng pogi sa Pilipinas. hmf.
