we saw it sa show ni korina sanchez na masarap daw yung siopao and mami nila..kaya we went there..simple lang yung place..sobrang tagal mkakuha ng seat.. yung tipong ko2ntratahin mo yung kumakain pa and wait for him to finish para makakuha ng seat! then ang tagal ding umorder..di ka pinapansin nung mga waiter.. 48 years talaga.. then pag pumunta ka dun ng hapon malamang eh 3 na lang sa menu nila ang available! haha!

pero infairness, masarap yung siopao! pati mami na din! hehe!

louie's buko juice (sm north)

-- since we are to watch iron man2, 9 pm, LFS, at hindi pwede magdala ng bottled drinks, we opted for something healthy, buko juice, so go kami sa food court, ubos na ang ice ng buko juiece (frutas), last resort, louie's buko, so bumili kami ng 2 cups, then humingi kami ng cover ng cup, ang sabi ng tindera, "mam, sorry po, wala na pong cover" sabi ni hubby "hindi namin pwedeng ipasok yan sa loob ng sinehan ng walang cover" "sori po talaga, ubos na po kasi, 1,000 pcs lang po ang na-deliver ngayon" "hindi pa rin namin pwedeng ipasok yan sa sinehan" then sumabad ako "sige, ibalik mo na lang yung bayad namin" ... then what she did, tumingin sa lagayan nila, at voila! "may 3 pcs pang cover" ... then sabi ko, "akala ko ba wala na kayong cover?" ... tahimik siya.

^ hay nako sis, ewan ko ba sa mga food restos na yan, per piece yata, katulad nung sa zagu, nalaglag ko yung straw, e di kumuha agad ako ng panibago, aba, nag-comment yung babae, sabi niya, "mam, isang straw lang po" ... sabi ko, "hindi ko naman sinasadyang malaglag" ... "e kasi mam, 1 straw per glass po" e nairita na ako sabi ko "magkano ba itong straw na ito, babayaran ko na lang, kesa sipsipin ko yang zagu ninyo gamit ang maruming straw?" ... tumahimik siya.

Pan de Manila.. actually yung customer service sa email nila (Jennifer ata name). Kasi inquire ako ng prices since walang PdM near us, magpapautos lang sana ko to someone (so I need to know what to make pabili & how much money to give. So I emailed to ask, then nagreply sila asking me to list down the products na gusto ko i-ask yung price. So reply ako nung mga naalala ko.. after several back & forth ng mails (kasi may mga inask pa sya), sa huli sasabihin nila they don't give out prices. Nyek eh di sana una palang sinabi na nya noh. Kaasar lang, sayang sa oras.

mga fastfood and restos na nagbibigay ng time dadating food...lets say 15 mins po...then hindi dadating ng 15 mins. Madalas pinapatawag ko manager and tell that, next time wag kayo magbibigay ng oras sa customer na hindi nyo kaya gampanan na dumating ng ganong oras. Pag sinabi nyong 15 mins, dapat on or before 15 mins at hindi more than the said time!

Jay J's Inasal at SM Fairview... ay deadma kung sa deadma pagpasok palang. Bahala kang humanap ng table mo kung gusto mo. Ni walang nag-abot ng menu, binitbit ko lang yung menu on our way in... eh 3 kami tapos ako lang nagbitbit ng menu... so ano share-share na lang o pass around?

in fairness, masarap naman yung food... pero 48 years bago may naka-isip bigyan kami ng plato at kubyertos! nauna pa yung food (pero matagal din bago dumating ha) so sabi ko ano magkakamay na lang kami?

normally i like the service of mo mo eastwood but during our Mother's Day lunch earlier, I was really disappointed with their service. sayang pa naman, i was even raving the food and their service with my parents:

- i had to request for a plate and a set of utensils from FOUR servers and was only given after 20 mins. same with water.

- we ate lunch at around 1130-12, even before the lunch time crowd came, but they were out already of their best sellers. had to settle tuloy with the meat loaf and their seafood pasta which we find so blah!

- when we ordered their appetizer platter, they said that they ran out of calamari. the waiter suggested if they can substitute it with the cheese sticks. imagine calamari with cheese sticks! my mom asked him "di naman ba kayo malulugi nyan?" not getting the hint of sarcasm, the waiter said "hindi naman ma'am"

- they wouldnt have given us complimentary bread if i didnt ask for some

- while we were eating the complimentary bread, a lady approached us and gave us our bill! dios mio we havent even gotten our orders, they're billing us out already.

- they didnt give us the mother's day giveaway. petty i know but still it was quite a turn off when they gave the table beside us.

i dont usually complain of slow service if i see na fully-packed ang isang resto, pero kanina, kahit big groups yung kumakain dun, di pa rin naman full yung resto... of all things pa, naubusan sila ng kanin at lunchtime pa... when we arrived ang sabi, bumili na daw ng kanin... pagdating nung bumili, bigas ang dala!... well, sa awa ng Diyos, naluto naman yung kanin in 15 minutes... we decided to wait na rin kesa sa lumipat na halos same time din ang waiting period since most restos were already full that time... at least 20 pax kami kanina...

usually, restos serve the drinks first... kanina, we had to ask several times for them to serve the drinks... inuna pa yung tubig before the iced tea and sodas... in fairness naman, marami silang yelo, and continuous naman yung bigay nila...

they served the viands first, so medyo paubos na sya when the rice came... syempre, pinapak while waiting for the rice... i think strategy yata nila yun para magdagdag order kami... nung nakaubos na kami ng rice, tsaka nila nilabas yung nilagang baboy and sizzling crabmeat... di na sana namin tatanggapin yung late na food, kaya lang na-excite yung kids...

pati bill, ang tagal!... actually, nung hiningi namin yung bill, mabilis sana, kaso nung nagpa-senior citizen discount kami, dun na inabot ng hundred years... hay naku!

i'm a fastfood junkie these days.  i've noticed that mcdonalds has horrible delivery customer service.  1, they deliver late (aba minsan parang nalimutan ka na tas tatawag a few minutes before time), 2, they have no customer satisfaction guarantees or come-ons (compared to jollibee, pag na late gift cert agad), 3, laging kulang ng utensils, and 4, mas madalas magkakulang or mali sa order.  my observation.

Goldilocks in SM Molino -- they offer the worst service ever! they did not honor my mom's Senior Citizen Discount card since hindi covered ang mga food na inorder niya, since same order ang binili nila sa Goldilocks SM Manila pero na- honor ang SC Disc Card ng mom ko!

Krocodile Grill in GB 3 - super bagal ng service! we were there last Friday...granted that ang daming tao during dinner time (around 7-9pm); but until mga 12am, ang bagal pa din dumating ng orders! if you order drinks/food items, dadating sa table nyo after around 30 minutes - and after ifollow up ng mga 3x.

this is my sister's experience at Antonio's (Tagaytay) last night:

my sis and bro-in-law, who work for one of the Big Three petroleum companies in the Philippines, had a chance to try Antonio's last night. they were with their colleagues, 18 lahat sila na kumain in Antonio's. they were disappointed because the service was quite bad!   the server assigned to them was really snooty (feeling ba nya porke he's working for a high-end establishment e clients are beneath him na? ), and here are examples of his bad attitude:

-- one of sis' colleagues did not receive a serving of bread; when they asked (politely) the server, he apparently said in a snooty way - "e kasi naman, yung bread yung nasa right side. so dapat hindi siya ang walang bread" -- <good thing i wasn't with them, or i would've called the management's attention dito pa lang> 

-- main course items arrived; the one given to bro-in-law wasn't the one he ordered (of course he'll remember what he ordered in the first place di ba?). server said, "hindi ba ito ang order nyo?" and proceeded on insisting it for a while. BIL nicely insisted that he ordered a different item...after a while, nabigay din sa kanya yung correct main dish.

come dessert time, funny because yung nabigay kay bro in law seemed to lack presentation, compared to the others. siguro napagdiskitahan na sya (though sis said he was actually bvery nice, wala daw sa mood mang-away kagabi ). while everyone had some sort of ice cream/gelato with a sprinkling of pistachios on top, kay BIL parang latak na very small nuts ang inilagay.

good thing daw kagabi, most of the group nasa very good mood - they were celebrating teh birthdays of 2 colleagues, plus a milestone in the refinery. kaya tinawanan na lang nila ang actions ni "koya" -- or else, the restaurant would've gotten a really big complaint.

sorry napahaba na, but i don't think tbhis is a good image for Antonio's - having snooty servers/staff, that is. people are paying really good money to go to their place, and this is what they're treated like? sabi ko nga kay Ate, kung good terms lang kami ng ex ko, i would've told him to tell the owner, his friend, of the experience. my sis' group was a big one, and the business they brought in was considerable -- paano na lang kung wala sa mood ang servers, at ang susungitan e just a couple celebrating an event, or a group of friends? e di lalong walang laban?

all in all, those in the group last night agreed that Antonio's wasn't worth going to again, mainly because of the bad service.

^ So sorry to hear that. I've always found the service at Antonio's very good.  In fact, it's one of the few places where my children can run around without the staff minding or hollering.  They even have cute high chairs. 

Generally, I find their waitstaff polite and solicitous.  It could be a new employee.

I think they should write a letter to Mr. Antonio Escalante so that he can reprimand the offensive waiter.

^I asked my sis to do that, but she said she just doesn't have the energy, nor the time, to do that. Same goes for her colleagues, who just wants to steer clear of that establishment. Sayang talaga, because most, if not all, of them were first timers at Antonio's, and the experience was ruined for them. I'll ask my sis if I can write on her behalf to Tonyboy Escalante instead - his restaurant's reputation is at stake, even though it seems that this was an isolated incident...

Bad Service:

Chili's Greenbelt.  The receptionist was snooty.  We understand that 7-8PM on a friday is a jampack night.  Since there was already a line waiting to be seated, we went to the receptionist to ask for a table for 4 (majority of those waiting are in groups of 10 or more).  Then the receptionist nodded and ushered us to wait near the entrance.  Then we just noticed that right after our group, the receptionist was asking for the name of the next group just in case an available table opens up.  I went up to her and noticed that we were not listed.  So I told her that we came before the 3 groups and we were almost waiting for 10 minutes and already hungry.  She then asked for my name and jotted it on the BOTTOM OF THE LIST!  I was fuming mad and told her that we were already waiting (standing) for 10 minutes and the group who came after us will be able to eat before us.  She just said that's the rule (very snooty pa!) and she can't do anything about it.  I walked out and wished that Chili's would go bancrupt.  Sayang it was my first time pa naman to eat @ chili's.  I just hate people who are snooty and think they're someone just because they work in a very expensive restaurant.  Babaw but irritating.

sobrang bagal ng service... kokonti na lang nga ang tao ang bagal bagal pa... around 2:45 ako pumasok... 3:15 na wala pa yung toppings na inorder ko... naka 4 glasses na ako ng ice tea at gutom na gutom na ako kasi di p ako naglulunch... tinawag ko yung manager at sinabi ko na kung di pa lumabas ang food ko after 2 mins aalis na ako... then nakita ko na yung kakapasok lang ng mga 10 mins naserve na yung food nya... grabe... kakabwisit... niligpit ko na lang ang mga gamit ko at umalis na ako... napatingin yung katabi kong mesa pero deadma.. walk out ang drama ko...
