What is one thing Pinoys are known for?

for me naman, we are known for:

• being hospitable
• for having strong family ties

• for loving music (ie. karaoke time for every special occasion)
• for being religious

• for being the only catholic country in southeast asia
• for english fluency

• for being the best entertainers
• for always smiling even in times of sadness

isip pa ko ng idadagdag....we pinoys should be always proud of our country, heritage and culture...dapat lagi positive ang sasabihin natin regarding our country whenever we encounter other nationality but also keep in mind to remain humble....just uplift the Filipino whenever you hear any sarcasm or bad comments, may pinoy man na nagrepresent ng hindi maganda sa bansa doesn't mean lahat tayo ay ganun...stand up for our country because no one will stand up for us but only us Filipinos...

Filipinos now are known to be missionaries, you'll ask why? because we are given the task to fulfill Christ mission in this world, how? being a nurse, caregiver or doctors abroad giving uncomparable care to those whose suffering physically, emotionally and mentally.  being teachers, teaching and touching the lives of these kids that even their own kind almost have given up on them.  being domestic helpers, takes care of their home and children too.  Our priests and religious sectors are being sent to other countries to fill-in the shortage of priests abroad... That's the Filipino mission in this world... I'm proud to be PINOY! i'm fulfilling this mission right now!

I really think there's a reason why most Filipinos decide to stay abroad.. more than just the money, its about bringing the values and incorporating them in their workplaces. Its about being the "light"... being the "joy" ...

Saka when you go to a different country, iba yung amor ng mga Pilipino.. napaka-charismatic.

agree ako doon sa young looking. Hehe Most of my co-workers says I look like a teenager. Kahit customers ask me if teenager ako. May couple nga na customer na pi-nareup ako sa anak nila na 17 year old kala nila kapareha kami ng anak nya sa age. Haha Tawag sa akin innocent or smiley face. Haha They're surprise Im married daw when they see my ring. Too young, when I tell them how old i am they're shock.

react lang ako sa pronouncing some words... Coz we filipino's are using the formal English when we converse unlike the Americans or other countries informal english or sometimes ghetto/slang languages ang ginagamit nila.  That's why they are surprised why we are very fluent in speaking the English language but we cant take away the fact that we have the accent - that's why sometimes they dont understand us...[textspeak!] wrong grammar/spelling pa sila...

sad but true, we are known as domestic helpers. yes first class domestic helpers, wala ngang masama dun, pero saan mang way tignan they view filipinos as second class to their race. always mistaken with thai as mga prostitute din, and parating lumalabas sa hollywood movies na typecasted roles as maid, boy, empleyado na alila.

anyway,the fun part is, parati tayong jinujudge na second class, pero theyre all suprised naman how smart and talented we are once they get to know us.

We have a festive Christmas...in other countries they don't celebrate Christmas like we do: reunions, parties, etc.  Masaya talaga ang Christmas dito sa atin.
