i'm gonna try adding jump rope in my fitness routine. aside from the comments here that validate na nakakapayat talaga.. here's an article from the website of one of my "gymspirations" Marzia Prince...

...skipping rope annihilates more than 10 calories a minute while toning every inch of your body. Splice jump rope intervals with strength moves to burn more than 200 calories in 20 minutes. That's a routine you won't be able to skip!

Oh diba???

Medyo muscular na [textspeak!] calves ko, but I notice that when I run or jump-rope, the effect is positive. They look firm and toned. :) Pero feminine pa din naman.

i'm trying to get back to skipping ropes again and treadmill. do some stretching  first prior to doing this exercise. also gradual lang dapat. my jump rope has a counter kaya what i do is 100 skips muna then 200 then kung kaya ko na sustain ko na yung 500 skips per day... wala akong masyadong time kaya this is my only fitness routine... if you have a garden, it's good to jump rope ng early morning tapos malamig kasi yug weather ngayon kaya maganda yung feeling when you perspire...

happy jumping!

sis glittersky & aprilcruise... mura lang yung jump rope ko 88 pesos lang sa japan home. medyo light weight lang sya pero the rope is adjustable, just make sure to keep it properly as is tends to be deformed but you can still use it. but most of the time its out of stock. i had a hard time finding one because i did not bought one when i initially saw it.... i want to add plastic weights nga into the rope... i'll think of what material to use so that jumping rope will also effectively tone my arm muscles...
