external hard disk/drive

I own 2 external hard disks (1TB and the other 2TB), both by Seagate, and bought at Seagate in Cyberzone, SM Megamall. They're not the portable types.

I'm suspecting my 1TB Seagate is near exhaustion (import/export takes HOURS when it was mere minutes before) so I just bought a new one also from Seagate. 2TB Expansion Drive for P4,600 in PC Options (?) at Gilmore, QC (they said they only accept cash payments). 1 year limited warranty in their store, and 3 years warranty c/o Seagate. So far, I'm so pleased as this is cheaper than the 2 previous ones I bought in a mall.

Is "Transcend" a good brand of Portable External HD?

Any recommendation, what brands really last? 'yung hindi hassle/nagkakaprob agad?

Any idea of prons & cons of a Portable External HD if the size is 1TB and up?

Seagate for me is the best in terms of durability, sa dami dami na ng nahawakan kong portable or external drive seagate lang ang isang beses lang irereformat hanggang sa hindi na sya gumana
