I make mine with:

-freshly ground beef
-minced white onions
-mustard powder
-garlic powder
-salt and coarse ground pepper
-cubed leftover bread
-eggs
-worcestershire sauce

This makes a very tender, moist burger which most people I serve it to attest that it tastes like upgraded Wham Burger.  Normally I'd shape it to quarter pounder patties, hugged by mayo, catsup, homemade herb cheese sauce, lettuce and tomato and toasted Gardenia hamburger buns.

How do you make the patty retain its shape para di maghiwalay when frying? Ive made mine kaso pag fry ko na parang nagcacrack ang patty ;(

sis have you tried adding breadcrumbs? I add them plus an egg or two depende sa dami ng gagawin. So far, they stick together naman. But I guess the secret to yummy homemade burgers talaga is to GRILL it and not to fry it. This is the first dish I learned to do and it's always been a hit since with my family. As in pwede ko na raw legacy haha:)

sis, will any ground beef work? Or kailangan sirloin?

whatever works for you. they say if you use leaner beef, it is less juicier but healthier. the best one is 80/20 ground beef or ground chuck.

aside for the standard ground meat burger patties, my mom prepared din the following variations:

corned beef de-late, potatoes, carrots and egg. mix-mix lang lahat, form into patties then deep fry.

my mom's signature home-made embutido then i-fof-orm nya into patties yung iba - sobrang sarap din the hamburger bread plus banana catsup

I think it's safe to freeze them.  Just cling-wrap them individually para easier to get the pieces you need when they're frozen.

ang mom ko kapag gumagawa ng burger patties,,
basta yun beef nya binibili sa farmer's market,,then papaground niya,,batangas beef ata yun,,,
malasa kasi,,even sa spaghetti niya basta dun siya bumili masmasarap than buying sa grocery
yun the rest ingredients niya eggs,,onion, garlic, salt and pepper and syempre bread crumbs,,
para hindi siya madurog while frying,,ang napansin ko sa mom ko,,
iclingwrap niya isa isa then iref muna sandali para ata magbind talaga. yun lang. ;)

Kung tipong pang burger talaga ang patty, salt and pepper lang nilalagay namin sa ground beef (hanap ng good quality talaga kasi nga wala iba timpla) then isshape at freeze. Grill din pala ginagawa namin, hindi prito.
