How to start an accesories business

ako mga sis i started making accessories 2 months ago kasi nagrequest loyal customer ko sa jewelry na gawan ko sila keychains (tulad ng binibigay ko sa kanila everytime bumibili sila ng alajas) so i started making keychains for them (for giveaways nila sa wedding).. after ko nakagawa ng 100pcs, naku ang sakit ng kamay ko hehe! pero they were sooo happy! i'll post the pics sa multiply soon now, im busy making the 2nd batch, wedding giveaways naman ng friend nung client ko na nakatanggap ng keychain ko bait ni Lord talaga kasi may nagagawa na ako sa house, im now a work-at-home mom hehe!  ppsstt.. di pa alam ng hubby ko

I also have a question, since this topic has come up.

Paano naman po yung packaging niyo, where can you find them? This I have been having a difficult time kaya nahihiya ako magbenta. Lalo na kung ilalagay sa courier (like eBay/Multiply) I want to have a good packaging sana pero I just am not sure where to get them.

Anyone know anyone?

kakatuwa naman story mo sis chicshopaholic :-D i'm making some accessories for myself, my mom, my sis, and sa relatives ng bf ko. i hope, thru word-of-mouth mag-click din at madaming mag-order ng accessories! i'm also wearing some sa office pero not so often, tsaka i just transferred sa new team. hopefully manotice din ng new friends ko sa office :-D. i'm thinking of posting pictures na rin sa multiply. i'm just lucky that i attended a jewelry-making class, sponsored sya ng company where i work. it was just for relaxation kaya ako nagsign-up, and now i'm hooked! nakakaaliw gumawa ng accessories! namili na din ako ng beads and all sa quiapo, dami kong nabiling cute stuff. mas gusto ko yung mga semi-precious stones and pearls and since maramihan yung pagbenta nila, mas ok nga to sell. it's good to know the basics on how to make accessories para mas confident ka. tapos laging isip ng bagong designs. ;-) wish me luck!

Sis, do you have any idea ba kung pano magpasok ng mga items sa malls...yun tipong ipapa-consign mo like sa SM etc?

^hmmm... kung alam mo ang contact details ng SM headquarters you could call them up and then mag- inquire kungs sino ang buyer / Category Manager incharge sa accessories. Then pag nakuha mo tawagan mo po yung Buying officer. From there they will set an appointment na kung pwede ka magpresent ng items sa kanila.Pag okay na ang appt mo make sure that you are willing to give physical samples, pictures with proposed price na. Para kumpleto ka na.

From there pag maganda ang product mo tatawagan ka naman ng  buyer or CM  for the buying day where in you are invited to present your products again to Mr. Sy of Ms. Tessie who  are the big bosses ng SM. They are the ones who's going to decide kung pasok ang product mo o hindi. Pag okay tatagawan ka na lang nila for ordering . Just be ready na me bargaining sila sis. Like 3-10% discounts. and other bagains pa.

This is raftly what i know kung paano makakapasok sa SM sis. hope I was able to help.

what about distributing accessories? not necessarily making them, but more of buying in bulk then selling them. how do you do that?

 matchykoi, okay din ito pero maganda kung ang ibibgay mo sa seller mo eh mga unique styles para naman kakaiba sa ibang shops. Also you have to consider kung ipa consign mo siya o COD.

^^ meron wellmansons sa divi pero i still find the displays of quiapo better. sa divi kasi puro na lang kalat. (sorry pero the last time i went there as in kalat ang stocks). baka nataon lang ako nung naglilinis sila.

mejo mahirap nga lang hanapin ang wellmansons sa divi kasi hindi siya ganun kaprominent unlike sa quiapo. halos same lang naman ang price... i'd say na sa quiapo ka na [textspeak!] pumunta, hindi pa ganun kahirap pumunta.

accesories business is good,but you have to be updated every month you have to come up with new style, suggest ko you can find cheap accesories in quangzhou,china its realy cheap there
