Saw the wii fit at bestbuy last week and it cost more or less $80 +tax, hintayin ko mag sale saka na ko bibili. pero im really itching to get one already.

Wii Fit has been released for Japan, not yet for the U.S.. It's still TBA and maybe around Q2 2008.

The Japan Wii Fit won't run on a U.S. unmodded Wii (I've tried already ) but would probably work on a modded Wii.

Guys, pa-tanong naman, kasi my parents sent us a nintendo wii, they bought it in the US, so automatically diba US version yun?, so ang concern ko lang, do i have to bring it to a shop to be modified? And if i am going to buy new games, kailangan din diba eh US games?  Please enlighten me, sensha na, newbie sa wii

Yes, you have to bring it to a shop.

If you're gonna modify it, you don't have to worry about whether it's US or Japan, it'll play on the modified Wii. Region won't be a problem now for you, you can play any game you want.

Yup. Not the greatest idea in the world to mod your Wii. The updates can cause a modded Wii to crash.

Here's my take... I do admit there aren't a lot of games that's ported very well to the Wii (i.e. Smackdown VS Raw 2008, Spider-Man 3) BUT there are games that works well with it (i.e. Wario Ware: Smooth Moves, Trauma Center: Second Opinion, Cooking Mama, Guitar Hero 3). So modding a Wii, though you can play any game now, is just a waste since most of the original games have a great "playability factor". That means you'll enjoy playing that game for quite some time.

Yeah, I did have a modded PS2 but it's coz it doesn't connect to the internet before so I'm not worried about crashing and making a paperweight out of it in the end.

Keep your Wii unmodded and just buy games you'll really like. Research a bit so you know you're getting your money's worth. I recommend Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. BRAWL and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.

i like wii it helped me lose weight because of boxing. for now hindi kodak na sya nagagamjt for games,i use it now online to surf the net watch movies online and youtube.
