In simpler term,
Those under LCP are given 4yrs to complete the 24taxable months(or the equivalent in hours) to qualify for PR application
No more medical exam for those LCP applying for PR.
Employers are now obliged to pay for the LC's MSP(I hope I am not mistaken)
These changes are actually great.

What's bad now is the processing for PR. it is taking too long

Add ko lang, something took effect last April 1, 2011 (iba yung 2010). It's the cumulative duration ek ek

Sis Shower... under LCP after 2 years pwede ng mag apply ng PR at pwede ng isabay dependants sa application? ang approval ba sis sa PR ilang months yan?

^If I may answer, yes after 2 years pwede na mag apply for PR and include your dependents in the application. Initial assessment (Step 1) takes 12-13 months, and final decision takes 15months.

cuppie_cake is right.  and yes.  but remember ang dependent mo lang is yung asawa mo at mga anak mo. hindi kasali ang mga magulang mo. kung single ka, PR mo lang ang maipaprocess.

ang maganda sa LCP, you don't need to have  this 'certain level of income' para makuha mo pamilya mo. automatic na kasama agad sila sa application. also, kahit hiwalay kayo ng mister mo kung wala naman kayong maipakitang papel na your marriage is annulled or you're divorce, kasama pa rin sya sa application mo hehe

Yup! clear na as in malinaw.. nyahehe...  OK na ang LCP tiyaga na lang muna OK na yan keysa wala u hihintayin.. i look forward dun sa makuha ko hubby & anak ko...

@sis cuppie_cake... yes sis nasa toronto din cousin ng hubby ko so hanap nila ako employer  kasi yun din ginawa ng sister niya sa kanya before.. kung mag agency pa ako mahal PF di ba... tagal ka na ba diyan?

^nag study kana ng caregiver program dyan? mag 3years nako here by november. Sobrang bilis ng time talaga, di ko namalayan.  and still di pa ko umuuwi, but by October hopefully makauwi na din.

kuruga, if you're not a teacher or a nurse--like what cuppie_cake asked you, did you take caregiving lessons?  that is one of the requirements.

^Unfortunately, di pa sis, kaya uwi muna ko by October papacivil wedding muna kami akala ko kasi pwede ko siya iapply as common law partner for that but I clarified and mukhang mahihirapan ako sa mga requirements so best option ko talaga is pakasal then I'll apply for PR when I get back.
