ang mahirap pa pala ngayon, they require the employer to have at least three bedroom sa house nila. (one for the couple, one for the kid/s, one for the LIC) hindi pwedeng sabihin na kasama sa room ang bata because the hr will not buy it.

mgs sis, help naman po. nurse kasi ako dito and gusto ko na sana magwork abroad, kahit caregiver sa canada, who knows po of someone na pwede tumulong sken para magka employer dun? and how long does it usually take sa processing, kasi sabi sken dati 12-18 months daw? true po ba yun?. and ano po yung LMO? thanks alot. maapreciate ko talaga. thanks.

LMO is labor market opinion. This is issued by the HRSDC. An employer will apply this for you.
Being a caregiver, in most cases, is working as a 'nanny.' with housekeeping or some cooking involve. That is if you're working with kids. And you have to be under Live-in caregiver program. Read:stay-in. MOstly na caregivers from pinas, may Mga kamag anak na tumulong sa kanila para makapunta sila ng Canada. Most employers wouldn't want to wait that long--1 year or more--if they have the option to hire pinay nannies/caregivers  from hong kong, Singapore, etc  in a matter of 3-6mos Lang.

sis showermist, thanks for the reply. kais someone is looking for an employer para sken, and hindi kami family relataed parang direct hire lang, and sabi nya, it will take 12-18 months daw for the whole processing kaya im having second thought on getting it kasi sobrang tagal, eh im getting married next year october, kaya nakakapag dalawang isip talaga. please enlighten me ont his mga sis. thanks.

sorry if i misunderstood your message.  i thought you are looking for someone to help you find work.
 
anyways, since merong tutulong sa paghahanap ng employer, at ang employer eh willing mag hintay, that's great.
12-18months --that was the processing for some caregivers last year. but since nagkabacklog it is taking longer. at isa pang factor--depende sa nakahawak na officer ang bilis ng processing ng papers mo.  also, an employer who's getting a caregiver sa pinas is required lots of paper works. this has started 1st quarter of last year. so kung ikakasal ka next year, expect more than 12 months processing. i am not going to sugarcoat what i am going to say---ang magiging problema is when after ng kasal mo, lumabas ang visa mo. this could be easy or not.
kasi pupunta ka ng canada na single. tapos when you applied for permanent residence--married.  at makikita ang date of marriage mo is earlier than when the visa is issued. ang magiging dating--you didnt tell them that you're married. medyo off sa kanila ito.
another scenario would be admitting that you get married while your visa is on process--that would mean going back to square one for processing or kung mabait ang officer, she'll just let you update your status. the easiest scenario would be--you will be able to get away with that

a rep from immigration will update caregivers  on the regulatory and administrative changes to the live-in caregiver program and their implementation.

i hope they will answer what's the real reason behind the "stage 1 and stage 2" processing of PR.

Hi! I received a positive LMO last year and I have until May to submit all documents. Hopefully before end of this month maipadala ko na lahat. I heard they require IELTS na ngaun, totoo po ba ito?

That's the english speak test. and yes, they do require that since last year.

ah ok.. I have a friend kasi who wants to work here, naconfuse tuloy ako about IELTS so it will just be the usual english speaktest pala that caregivers took pa rin. Thanks for the clarification.

^medyo pinahirap na lang nila. i have a friend who took it last year and i was told na easy nga lang daw. tapos yung relative ng friend ko bumagsak kasi ang tanong situational. di sya nakasagot daw. so uulit sya. at may tanon pang 'where did you spend your valentines day?' hahaha

hi sis mavicganda,

actually, i passed the speak test/interview already.  that was stated in the letter i received from the embassy.  to finally process daw my work permit, they require a form to be filled out by my employer and the T4 nga.  sa form, ang instructions is for my employer to fax it to the canadian embassy.  pero sa T4, walang specific instructions.  so i told my employer to fax na rin pati yung T4 [textspeak!] nung form na pina p fuillupan sa kanya.

i think this will be the last stage, [textspeak!] i undergo a medical na rin as per their instruction.

Ano ang kaibahan ng LCP sa Temporary Work Permit? true kaya pag temporary work permit allowed ng mag request ng family after a year? just like my sister in UK na after 10 months nakuha na niya hubby & daughter niya.. same thing din ba in Canada pag temporary work permit? alam ko kasi pag LCP sobrang tagal before u makuha family mo. Correct me if im wrong mga sis...

Live-in caregiver program (LCP) is a holder of a temporary work permit.

A temporary work permit is a permit that any skilled worker/LCP holds to legally work in canada. Although some temporary workers need not  a permit(You may not need a work permit if you fall into one of the following categories: Athletes and coaches, Aviation accident or incident investigators, Business visitors, Civil aviation inspector, Clergy, Convention organizers, Crew members, Emergency service providers, Examiners and evaluators, Expert witnesses or investigators
Family members of foreign representatives, Foreign government officers, Foreign representatives, Health-care students, udges, referees and similar officials, Military personne,News reporters, film and media crews, Performing artists, Public speakers, Students working on campus)

Ang temporary work permit kung allowed magrequest ng family after?!  If that is an LCP, then NO.  After 24months or equivalent pa sya makakapag apply for a PR at kung may imediate family na sya, kasama na agad sa application.

Now if you meant skilled worker who are holders of temporary work permit--it depends.  AS FAR AS I KNOW, you can apply if you can show them that you can financially support your immediate family (read: your spouse and anak lang).  Sila ang mag-aasess nito. BUt if you can't, then you will be denied.  That's what happened recently lang sa kakilala ko.  Now, application is different pa ha and much more expensive. It's not as easy as applying for a PR under the LCP. Yun nga lang the cons of LCP is sobrang tagal this days because of backlog.

If you're applying PR under the LCP, sure na makukuha mo pamilya mo.  Er, maliban lang kung they  failed the medical exam.
