     nice to know na tapos na kayo... ako sa november 29 pa.  next week pa.

     galing ako sa school where i took my caregiving course.  madaming balita dun na maganda kasi maganda naman ang feedback ng mga students dati na madali lang speaktest.

     ang sad na balita dun mostly pala ng narerefuse eh dahil sa T4.  pag pala mababa ang income ng employer, nirerefuse ng embassy ang application. 

      kaibigan pano ba kita ii mail? di ako marunong dito sa site eh.  yung email ad ko dyan, active po yun.

ayaw kasi pumasok sa email mo mga sinisend ko e,,dont know why??musta naman pag rreview mo? basta review mo lahat,,iba iba din kasi mga questions,,madali lang naman,,wag ka lang kakabahan,,relax. and of course lots of prayers din..post mo cp # mo para ma text kita kung gusto mo?

tapos n kami adel, sabay nga kami ni kaibigan pumunta, agahan mo lang pag punta don sa testing center.. ng compare din kami ng questions pero iba talaga.. correct madali lang, minsan practical pero gaya ng sinabi mahirap na makipag sapalaran better to study HARD, sayang naman sa tagal ng pinag antay natin.. sana maging ok ang lahat maawa si GOD at makulitan na sa dasal nating lahat.

mga sis, i need your opinion, kasi sponsor ko friend ko para makapunta rito as caregiver, tapos sya ng elem educ, then sabi ko kuha sya ng caregiver course para di sya magka problema. kaso yung papasukan nya na school ay tuwing weekends ang pasok nya then declare daw ng school na everyday. sa tingnin nyo wala kaya syang maging problema sa embassy doon? Gusto ko talagang makarating dito friend ko eh kaya lagi ko syang sinasabihan na ingat sa mga school na papasukan nya.

required talaga na full time student sya, nag resign ako para lang makapag aral.. nakipagsapalaran na rin ako.. no choice eh yon ang requirment ng embassy.. kesa naman masayang lang ang pag aaral kung di makakapasa sa standard nila.. meron akong nabasa dito na pag educ di NA ATA kailangan mg caregiver BUT I'M NOT SO SURE.

lam ko ramdam mo now, di naman talaga maiwasan kabahan normal yan, napagdaanan na kasi namin sa totoo lang madali lang sabihin pero ang hirap gawin lahat ng payo namin ni kaibigan pero try mo i control kaba mo para di ka ma mental block.. after ng exam para kang nabawasan ng malaking tinik 

pray pray pray my sis!!! SYA LANG MAKATULONG SATING LAHAT...

after 2 wks pa daw malaman result.. ako? baka di na ko tumawag sa friday wait me na lang bahala na rin kinakabahan din ako eh 

kaya mo yan.. may reason si GOD kung ano man maging result ng paghihirap natin.. try to understand it

Hello everyone!  I've been browsing  this site for weeks now.  Well I find the topics interesting and very helpful.  Being a Canadian Caregiver wannabe myself, I think this is a good site to exchange our experiences as we patiently wait for that visa.

I finished my caregiver course on Oct. of 2006 and my younger sister, who is also my employer filed her need for a caregiver on Sept. 2006.  The LMO was issued 3 months after, that was in Dec of the same year.  I was able to accomplish all my papers in February 2007 and on the same month, I submitted my application at the embassy through their drop box.  The acknowledgement letter from the embassy came in May, then last October I was already asked to take the SPEAK Test 

I took the test last Nov. 23, 2007 and just like what the others are telling, the questions are easy, practical actually.  It covers everything that we have learned from our caregiver training.  Pretty wide huh?  But dont fret,there are only 4 questions to be answered.  The first item is that you are shown a picture which you need to describe.  This probably, is where our "english" is being evaluated cause the 4 remaining items required enumeration and procedural steps which does not necessarily need elaborate english.  Well thats just my opinion based on what I have experienced.  I'm still waiting for the result which will come out after 2 weeks.

My question at this point is how the test is being evaluated? Like are we really expected to answer correctly all the questions asked to pass?  And for those who have passed the SPEAK test, are they still required to go through an interview?

Hi there!  I think the embassy requires a full time caregiver training which means you have to take the course on a daily schedule, like M-F.  So if you have a job you really need to take a leave of absence just like what I did.

        salamat sa encouragement.  lam mo laki ng nakukuha kong lakas ng loob sa inyo at sa site.  things are easier kasi may kapalitan ako ng mga worries... unti unti nabubuo ko na ang loob ko... thank talaga mga sis.

        kaibigan, salamat din sa iyo ha... ingat kayo palagi.

thanks sa mga nag-reply sa tanong ko, actually iyon nga ang sinabi ko sa friend ko na baka magkaroon sya ng problema dahil doon. dahil declare ng school na m-f pasok nya pero weekends lang then ilalagay nya sa trabaho nya na resign sya ng ganoong date kahit hindi naman, ako kasi nanghihinayang sa panahon na masasayang kung magkakaroon sya ng problema sa papel nya, eh kung ganoon kasi ang mangyayari parang nagbabakasakali ka na lang na makapasa, gusto ko kasi syempre 100% na makakapunta here pero kung ganoong set-up nya eh medyo mahirap iyon.

Nope. You won't be coming in for an interview with the consul anymore when you pass the SPEAK test. Neat eh? :-)

^ naku, i can relate. been there! it's the waiting that kills you noh? ako nga, i didn't bother to call and ask what my score for the test was. kasi that's all that they can give you, the score. pero no one knows what the embassy's passing score is. so in some ways, the info is useless. basta, just keep on praying. from the time i took the speak test, sunod sunod na ang events. mabilis na. the next thing you know, you're on your way here. just TRY to let go of it para di ka mabuwang kakaintay hahaha

       goodluck sa yo.  nakakatensyon ang speaktest pero generally madali lang.

       natapat sa akin, bedsores, bedpan for bedridden clients, breakfast menu for pre schoolers and three point gait.    pero as we compare notes nung mga kasabayan ko, iba iba din tanong eh.  basta study your notes at buuin mo ang loob mo... and of course pray, pray at pray.

        may nagbibigay naman ng instruction before mag start ng speaktest.  90 seconds per question pero kasama sa 90 seconds yung pagbasa ng tanong at pagsagot.  Sampu kayo per batch at kahit nakaheadset, nagkakarinigan din kayo so try your best to concentrate at di madisturb ng boses ng iba.  Yan medyo naging hassle sa akin.  ang katabi ko lalaki at ang lakas ng boses as in nakakaistorbo sya.  kakainis.

        ngapala tin, 4 questions lang yun.  yung una kasi warm up daw yun, yung may picture.

Thank you Adel for your very useful info. Nate tense na rin ako pero kailangan ko nang tanggapin na wala namang magagawa ang kaba ko so ibinubuhos ko ngayon ang energy ko sa pag re review. Buti ka pa nakahinga na ng maluwag dahil tapos ka na sa SPEAK test. Babalitaan din kita bukas pagkatapos ng test ko.
