sis luna_asyx I suggest sa mga audit firm ka mag ojt atleast don mas may exposure ka sa mga accounting jobs unlike pag sa iba pagpphotocopy ka lang! lol! and sometimes they give allowance din, nung time ko yung audit firm na pinasukan ko for ojt they gave us 200 per day. not bad...

^ good luck on your exam! word of advise lang, you'll never feel really ready to take the exam, ganito lang yan, the more you know, the more you feel that you need to know more! and you'll feel more kabado na baka kulang pa alam mo. pre-boards are pretty much a good gauge on your confidance to take the actual board exam, so if youre okay with your pre board results, take that as a confidence booster (wag lang sobrang confident ha!)

and be resourceful, kuha ka rin ng final pre boards from other review school, kanya kanya rin kase sila ng specialization e..

youre reviewing in ReSa right? is atty bonafe still with them?  ;D

hello mga sis! enlighten me please. i don't know where to post this question. i've asked my accountant pero lalo ako naguluhan. i need help...

i currently own a barbershop. we're registered with BIR and every month nagre-remit ako ng 3% sales tax because Non-VAT yung business.

we're putting up another business soon but this time VAT na siya. and because may VAT, we have to remit 20% daw.

pero here's what's confusing. according to my accountant, since i would be using my TIN for my new business, i would have to remit 20% na din daw for my barbershop. kase daw since VAT na yung new business ko, pati yung old business ko maco-convert na din sa VAT.

is this true mga sis? kawawa naman yung barbershop business ko if i remit 20% of our sales. wala nang matitira :( we don't charge naman our customers ng tax kase 50php lang isang gupit  ;D

^sis, where did you get the 20%? Kasi kapag VAT 12%.

Sis, why parehas na TIN ang gagamitin eh separate companies dapat sila?

^sorry sis my bad, 12% pala. both businesses daw will be 12% VAT na kase iisa lang ang owner, ako yun. pareho kase sila registered as Sole Proprietorship. even if magkaibang business, if iisa ang owner and sole proprietorship, automatic daw na maco-convert sa VAT yung non-VAT na business.

ganun ba talaga dapat?

same TIN ang gagamitin kahit separate company sis kasi pareho na sole proprietorship...sis, si BIR ba nagsabi na magiging VAt na rin ang barbershop mo? pwede kasi i-clarify un kay BIR eh...kasi sis, kung icha-charge ka ng VAT even for your barbershop, you have no choice but to pass it on to the consumer/client...

^ thanks for your reply sis. accountant namin ang nagsabi na ganon ang mangyayari. but i still have to confirm this. am pretty sure my barbershop business is gonna suffer. it's either we increase our prices or we absorb na lang the additional tax :( am hoping lang sana na there's another way to do it....
