^^ sis tsinsey sa advice, il take all you said into consideration. recently lang kce, my cousin resigned from her audit work, hindi nya nakayanan yung pagod and pressure. though, marami rin nga nagkukuwento sakin na tataas talaga "market value" mo after working in an audit firm.  ;D speaking of my review, start na tom, sa cpar ako. i really really pray na makayanan ko and hopefully, il pass. thanks ulit. if i may ask, where do u work?   :)

I'll just PM to you where I work. ;) Btw, I reviewed in CPAR too. Good luck sa review.  :D

^ hi sis, i replied to you na.  :D whew, it was my first day in review school. super nakakapagod, mas napagod pa ko ngayon kesa nung undergrad pa ko (to think na mas malayo pa yun and mas matagal akong nasa school pag undergrad).  :D sir german? haven't met him sis eh. we only met sir valix today (whom we already met we have had our reservation) and sir roque (who was our prof last sem, in undergrad school). hehe. so nothing new today.

I took and passed the board exam in October 1999 (mag-10 years na) sa CPAR ako nagreview.  Andun pa dati si Dayag and Roque Brothers.  I am currently working as an Internal Auditor sa isang airline company here in the Middle East.

Share ko lang...
based on my experience dito, mostly ang demographics ng auditors sa public accounting:

between 21-28 yrs old either auditor or senior auditor (all single)
bet 29-35+ manager or early partner (single or either married na sila but their children are already grown up)

Yung mga bagong kasal pa lang or with babies between those years umaalis talaga sa audit especially kapag babae. Why? kasi it (audit work)demands all of your time. ALL. Kaya tama din si tsinsey na most of them return to audit after a few years from private company. This time they have the time to spare na to focus on the work.

i so agree with this, though i dont have any experience in auditing but this is same with finance and accounting services that the company I'm in.  ALL of your time will be utilized...

i almost joined SGV but on  my supposed to be first day i decided to withdraw my employment, sobrang naintimidate ako sa mga tao dun. then ayun saka na ko nanghinayang afterwards.
My friend who joined the auditing firm super laki ng lamng ng credentials and knowledge nya, compared to me. iba if product ka ng auditing firm.

Hi! accounting grad but not cpa ako! hehe!

LOL pero di naman. married na ako ngayon but sad to say most of my college friends batchmates singles pa dahil sa ka busyhan sa work!

Sad to say after my father's death nabago ang lahat. 2 year computer course  yung natapos ko pero yung work ko nasa accounting until this time. I plan to enroll next year do you think di pa late mga sis im 28 na kasi eh. I might start from 1st year. Ok ba yung centrol escolar university-makati na school plan ko kasi mag enrol jan bali after work [textspeak!] schedule ko.

hello mga sis Im an accountant too and pass the board exam Oct 2000 nagreview ako sa CRC (old name na sya & I dont know now what is their new name)

sis nothing is late as long as gusto mo talagang mag-aral. maganda po ang CEU kasi focus din sila sa accountancy pano may regulation na tatanggalin ang accountancy course sa mga school kapag 3 consecutive exam na walang pumasa sa school nila.

ako nga sis kahit CPA na ako I still continue my study, right now Im working overseas and planning to take ACCA (UK & SG recognised) bongga di ba one title pero 2 countries accredited ang cert ko kapag natapos ko sya. kaya go  go lang sis

Thanks mami violy this time kakayanin ko na talaga. From the very start na ask ng teacher ano pangarap natin. I always tell them na maging CPA. Kaya next year enrol na talaga ako. Thanks ulit!

Uy batchmates tayo.  Try ka pa din to take the board exams. With enough hardwork, determination and prayers, makakapasa ka. Its not too late. ;)

i'm a cpa (2000) but i never really practised.  i have been out of circulation for quite some time already.

*i have a question about books of accounts (BOA).  when you put up a business, i know that BIR requires that you have books of accounts.  the business will only be using excel to record all the transactions (no commercial computerized accounting system will be used).  can the BOA be printouts coming from excel?  i do not want to be MANUALLY recording all the transactions in ledgers, journals, etc.

*what are the requirements to renew your license?  any idea how much the penalty is (for non-renewal)?  sana may amnesty  ;)
