Can you give us update in your PTC program in UPOU? I'm also planning to apply in the program. would like to know kung okay lang ba talaga ang distance learning compared sa traditional school kung 18 units lang naman ang habol na natin for us to be able to take LET. and mahirap ba mag apply sa program? I mean, hindi kasi ganon kaganda grades ko but no failed/dropped subjects. maybe 2.25 to 2.5 GWA. Thanks sis!

Sorry now lang ako naka-reply.

Katatapos ko lang mag-take ng 18 Units sa UPOU, awa ng Diyos eh natapos ko siya. That is working and studying ah. Di ko na nga ma-imagine kung pano ko yun ginawa. Well, compared sa traditional school, mas okay talaga ang distance learning kase hawak mo ang oras mo. Every week, puro modules. May mga subject na napakaraming babasahin so kelangan mo rin talaga ng matinding disiplina para tapusin yun kase kung hindi, matatambakan ka the next week. tapos mao-overwhelm ka sa dami ng work.

Sa ngayon, nag-aantay pa ako ng grades. Then hopefully, makuha ko na requirements para maipasa na para makapag-LET na sa july.

As far as grades, I think okay naman yung sa'yo. Nagpasa lang ako ng requirements, like true copy of grades, diploma, etc. Check mo website nila for more information www2.upou.edu.ph

I think hindi naman mahirap mag-apply basta umabot ka lang sa deadline ng pagpasa ng mga requirements. Tapos yun na yun.

actually, hindi ako ang pumili ng units per sem. upon enrollment, may nakalagay na dun kung ano yung possible subjects na i-enroll mo. so may choices ka. 6 units din ako per sem, so 2 subjects yun. narrowed down na yung choices mo, piliin mo na lang.

For example, this semester. Ang offered lang ay: Basic Guidance at Introduction to Special Education. So piliin mo na lang kung ano mas gusto mo.  I think i-crecredit naman yun ng PRC, kase standard naman yun.

I wasn't able to reply kasi I was not allowed to send pm. di ko alam kung bakit pero nakapag send naman ako before. anyway, Thank you sis for replying sa kakulitan ko.   You're giving me hope na makatapos ng 18 units and take LET since like you, working din ako full time. I will pray na makapasa ka ng LET, In God's grace! Paano ba sis ang exam sa UPOU? need ba ng skype/webcam? or sa learning center mag exam?

Balitaan mo ko sis kung nakapagapply ka na sa PRC for LET sa january all the best!

Regarding exam sa UPOU, iba-iba eh. Naranasan ko na pumunta sa learning center (ikaw kase pipili kung san malapit na learning center sa'yo. Yung learning center yung pinakamalapit na UP campus sa'yo. In my case, I chose UP Diliman). Yung iba, final exams nila paper. Yung iba, exam pero online. Wala pa ako na-experience na may webcam. Ise-send lang yung link ng exam mo tapos ayun na.

Ah. okay sis. sa tingin ko yung may webcam is for students outside the country. yun kasi yung mga blog na nabasa ko before. I think sa UP Diliman or Manila din ang pipiliin kong learning center since parehong accessible sa akin.

Nagenroll ka pa ba sa review center ngaun sis? kaya sa January ka pa mag LET? if second trimester ako makakapag enroll sa PTC program, probably it will end by November 2015. Iniisip ko, konti time to review almost one month lang ako makakapagreview kung January ako magtatake ng LET.

Oo, sis. I think for offshore students lang yung webcam. Sa UP diliman, super nice nila dun. Saka malaki yung building ng UPOU. Yung exam room namin laging super lamig kase siguro konti lang tao dun. Hehe.

Balak ko sana wag mang review center. Balak ko sariling sikap. Haha over confident. Ang naging problem ko naman kase kaya hindi ako nakahabol sa Sept na LET eh hindi na-release agad yung grades ko para mahabol yung deadline ng requirements ng LET. Sabi ng UPOU, 1 month processing daw yung TOR. So ayun, naging January 2015 na ang exam ko. Pero okay na rin yun siguro pang review. Though oo nga noh, naisip ko, mahirap nga kaya ang LET exam. Napaisip tuloy ako.

Talaga sis. parang gusto ko na din tuloy sa Diliman. Final exams lang ba kayo nagpupunta sa learning center?

Kailan ka ba nag start sa UPOU and natapos sa PTC Program, sis? Kaya mo naman siguro ipasa yun sis kung mag self review ka. gnun lang din ginawa nung sister ko. the day before the exam nga lang sya nakapagreview, nagwowork na kasi sya nun. fortunately, pumasa naman sya. hehe. Siguro kailangan lang time management para siguradong my allotted time ka to review. Medyo matagal pala sila magrelease ng TOR. pero nakapagpasa ka na ba sa PRC ng requirements?

Ask ko na din pla sis kung required ba mag Practice Teaching? or hind mo lang pinili yun since you're working?

Yes, final exams lang ako nagpupunta ng learning center.

Nagstart ako ng UPOU, May 2013. Natapos ako March 2014. OO matagal mag-release ng OTR. 2 subjects ko per sem diba, tapos yung isang grade ko natanggap ko na lang final grade ko mga first week ng June. Tapos yung deadline ng PRC requirements June 13, so kamusta naman. So hindi ako umabot. This weekend, balak ko na ayusin yung TOR ko. For 2015 LET, I think ang deadline ng filing ay mga Dec 2014 so I think abot naman na siguro yung mga requirements ko dun. Okay na rin siguro na next year pa ako mag-board exam, mamaya kase sa super confident ko, sumemplang ako. haha.

Balak ko kase kumuha na ng experience abroad. Or kahit kumuha ako ng experience dito, they require na board passer ka, or licensed teacher ka, so one at a time muna siguro. Ipasa ko muna yung board exam.

Sabagay sis, para may time ka din to review. balitaan mo na lang ako kung nakapagpasa ka na ng requirements. hehe. excited lang.

Balak ko sana 1st trimester, kaya lang di ko pa nakuha yung TOR ko, Kaya 2nd trime na lang, January 2015 start ng class probably it will end by November 2015. Balak ko magpasa na agad ng requirements ngayong August. Kung same pa din ang schedule ng LET sa 2016, January and July, sana makaabot ako sa January 2016.

Sis, meron pa din ba nung EDS 280 - Practicum in Teaching sa PTC Program? Nabasa ko kasi sa mga blogs from UPOU students. parang masaya sya kaya lang it will require time talaga. Gumawa ka din ba ng e-journal? hehe.

Na-move nga yung LET sis eh. Imbis na July 2014, naging September 2014. Pero yung deadline hindi naman inurong. Ang weird lang noh? Kaya kahit ano gawin ko, di pa  rin ako umabot. Sana naman yung next na schedule ng LET eh January 2015 talaga. Anyway, 1 month lang naman iuurong.

I tried na hanapin yung EDS 280-practicum in teaching, wala ako mahanap. Eto lang offered sis:

Yes, I have e-journal. haha! 2 nga eh. Kase yung teacher ko sa 2 subjects, same lang. Saka naaliw ako masyado sa e-journal. I can give you the link (DM ko na lang) if you want to. Para lang may idea ka. Hehe.

Aww, thank you! Mataas din grades na binigay sa akin, i'm thinking dahil sa blog. Ginawa ko siya diary. Lahat ng binabasa ko na modules/reading pasok lahat sa blog. Made me understand the lessons better kase.

Ang plano ko muna ngayon ay magtake ng Board exam. After ng board exam, start na rin ako apply-apply. Mostly kase nakita ko na ads, need nila na board passer ka. I'm thinking of going abroad din, sis. Yun talaga purpose ng pagkuha ko ng PTC.

October 25, 2014 and deadline ng PTC for 2nd sem ng UPOU. Sino mga mag enroll? How much kaya ang total na babayaran pag 6 units ang kukunin  ko? Or puede 3 units lang isang subject lang?
