I realized teaching is really a vocation when I taught 1 sem in college. Grabe. Ang liit lang ng kita and too much effort ang kailangan. Nyay. Hindi kinaya ng powers ko. My job now is just sitting pretty and papirma-pirma lang but I'm earning more pa kesa dun sa madaming effort tapos konti lang ng kita. Not really worth it kung mukha kang pera.

yep it can be done online. pero pwede rin yung actual classses if you have the time

i totalli agree with you sis.. gusto ko na nga din magresign eh, i just started my teaching carreer this june.. ang baba ng sahod compare to my former work.. ineenjoy ko na lang ang pagtuturo..

im taking up education, and ive worked for a year na teaching english to koreans. all i can say is i will not be a teacher when i graduate. i hate it. i cant stress that enough. i dont mind teaching little kids in sunday school, or teaching english to my high school aged kids for 2 hours a day, but i will not be a full time real school teacher. its far too tedious a job for me.

frankly, the only reason im going to finish, is that im in my last yr, super konti nalang ang natitira units/classes.. it'll take too much time to shift, and for that matter, i dont know what i'd shift to, even though i have the opportunity to shift. i just want to finish up college and get everything over with.

teaching is absolutely not something for everyone. as many of my teachers have told me, most teachers cant take it for more than 5 years. others naman, oo, you'll see many older teachers na in the educ field for over 20 yeaars sometimes, eh, effectve teachers ba sila? may alam ba? marunong ba talaga sila as a teacher, in my opinion, 9 times out of 10, im sorry to say no.

i learned alot in my educ units, i think that it will make me a great PARENT... kasi it brought out alot of patience, and creativity and that very sipag and matiyaga woman, underneath the laxy girl i am now.. but again, teaching is not for everyone... whether teaching online or yung mga parttime.. or maski a full time teacher. its takes alot to become a real good teacher

hi, anybody here who's taking up 21 units of Professional Teaching sa Miriam? Because i am planning to take up units in education to be able to legally teach anywhere. As of now, i am working as an English teacher in Preschool here in brunei but i decided to resign so i could study again. I wanted to pursue my teaching career since its popular aboard and i kinda like na rin. any suggestions kung san school ok, i thinking of enrolling in miriam kc its near our area, plan ko sana at first sa DLSU but a friend of mine who is studying there at the moment suggested to find another school, it seems that she's not satisfied there and i don't know why. Then i thought about PNU, because they said dun talaga ok, but then again, sobrang layo naman from our place (QC). My goal of course is to pass the LET so i would like to find a good school that would help me achieve this goal. hope you could give me suggestions

question lang po, what are the steps i need to take to be able to teach preschool?since becoming a mom, i became a lot more interested in earlychildhood development.at first, i just wanted to be knowledgeable in dealing with my child pero lately i have become more and more obsessed with it to the point that my long time goal would be to establish my own playschool/preschool.i feel i owe to the future parents and children that i would serve that i am really committed and knowledgeable.di naman ako rich ha, pero i hope to be able to meet people someday who share my passion and maybe we could work together in building that dream.

In the education field, making money is in your hands. Teaching is a noble profession and I know alot of academians who are making money talaga. In any career you have to start from a scratch. Aside from teaching, you can do research as your sideline, giving lectures, talks and being keynote speakers in different schools. If you licensed or finished graduate school or post grad make your way to be noticed in the industry. Kapag lecturer ka or keynote speaker you can be paid P2,000 per hour. So imagine if you will conduct a seminar with 4 hours lecture and 4 hours workshop in just one day you can earn as much as P16,000.

If you want more money... write a book. Consultations are also paid 1,200 per consultation that's 1 hour lang. So I dont' think its just a vocation. Whatever career you're into, its really upto you to make the best out of it. Mind you, those who graduated from SPED (Special Education course) they are very much in demand in U.S.

^ Sis helencons in U.P. there is graduate studies for Teaching Early Grades or they call it TEG. Or you can also enrol in Home Economics they have a course there for Family Life and Child Development.

I've been a teacher for 13 years and I would say that I enjoyed the first five years of it. It's true na this is a noble profession, you keep on learning each day, you earn respect without asking for it, kaya lang one day I woke up and realized that I got too tired of it. I went abroad, found a nice job (thanks to my teaching background) and get a salary 7X better than i used to get as a teacher.

Though Im no longer in the teaching profession, my present and future were built on it. No regrets.

yes go for it if you will teach in a good university and its for a post graduate course (e.g. graduate school or law school)..

average is 500-1000/unit. so for a 5 unit course per week, thats 20,000 a month for just five or less hours of work a week.

sis, try mo family life and child development sa UP. it will give you all the basics you need to set - up a preschool. plus meron din silang sariling lab na preschool so you can observe there.

maganda nga sana sis sa UP kaya lang problem ko yung location.ang layo,parang north to south, vice-versa,ang daily routine ko.next year pa magprejudicature ako so if ever sabay ko pa gagawin ang dalawang magkaibang bagay.

actually,qualified ako to teach college or even law subjects, some of my batchmates do that now kaya lang wala nga yung heart ko dun.i find them always stressed, kasi from work, they teach pa or minsan in between pa.siguro kanya-kanyang tipo yan, i'm just really leaning towards kids kasi iba yung sense of fulfillment kapag may ginagawa ako ngayon for my son.

these days,i set up our house with preschool materials, experiment ko lang.kapag may natapos ako na board, ang sarap ng feeling.

im still hoping that i can take that early childhood devt course.

any inputs from PNU?what are the good courses there?

hi, i heard hindi na daw nagooffer ang UP ng 18 units education certificate since bumababa ang rate ng mga pumapasa sa LET exam, is it true?
