One mentioned that teaching is a gift. Not all are called to be privileged to teach. Siguro nga.

I am also planning to enrol again this semester sa PNU. either SPED or Education Technology. Whatever is okay, I will pursue it.

The deadliest submission of the application for the LET exams is on May 30. The LET exam is usually scheduled in August. The release of results in in October.

This is based on the year when I took my LET. That was in year 2005.

LET is administered once a year only (lat thing I knew).

sabi nila by next year daw mababago na yung required number of units for you to be able to take the LET.

dati 18 units lang diba? alam ko now 36 na eh... nag inquire friend ko.. buti ako natapos ko na 18 units, di pa nga lang ako nag exam.. kelan ba result ng LET 2007?
kelan pa nagkaron ng February sched? sana nag apply ako, baka kase dina ko abutin dito sa pinas ng aug next year eh...

Sabi sa PNU daw 24 units na ang required. Pero nung naginquire ako sa isang school sa amin sa province, 30 units. Yung 12 units daw for practice teaching.

hi!! i'm not sure if u want to teach talaga in person or online... [textspeak!] i have been an English online teacher for Koreans for a short time nga lang kc i was forced to leave dahil i had to be on bedrest... anyways, if u want to know about this u can ask me 

btw, the pay is better than teaching talaga in high school, and the requirements eh as long as u can speak fluently in English ok na... tapos ang work sched is either 5am to 2pm or 2pm to 11pm, pwede ka pumili....

i just want to share this story, recently lang kasi natapos yung case. a family friend of ours has been teaching in a school in cavite for a long time already. one time, a parent complained to her na pinalo raw nung isang teacher yung anak nya. so this family friend of ours approached the said teacher and asked him about it. nagsumbong naman tong teacher sa principal. apparently, they are close friends. the next day, may memo nakadikit sa bulletin board nila na terminated na tong family friend namin and it listed a lot of reasons na puro lies talaga. family friend then approached the principal and asked him, what is the real reason for my termination? walang maisagot tong principal. sa inis ng family friend namin, she left the school. but prior to that, she was able to take pictures of the memo posted sa bulletin board. gusto nya kasi pakita sa asawa nya. when another friend found out about what happend, etong friend ang galit na galit and humirit na pwede idemanda yung principal. una, parang wala lang, tapos naisip nitong family friend na kung sya nga na super tagal na sa school na yun (masmatagal pa sya andun kaysa sa principal) eh ginaganun nalang, what more mga ibang teachers na andun? so she seeked for help and eventually filed a case against the principal. the board of trustees sa school na yun did not back up the principal since sya lang nag sign ng memo and there were a lot of witnesses to what happend, plus may pictures as proof. etong principal, mayabang pa at inamin sa court ang ginawa nya and he never showed regret. tsk tsk. he's an accomplished engineer as well. fastforwarding the story, our family friend won the case, i think after 5 years ata? and she's getting 4 million pesos as damage fees.

i have 18 units of educ but i never took the LET. parang gusto ko kunin na next year. do i need to review for it? if i want to submit my application etc., where do i do that? may website ba listing all the requirements etc.?

im a comsci grad and have a minor in educ. after grad, i went into elearning and eventually became an instructional designer. medyo bago bago pa ata to sa pinas. im working in a call center now and man, pag nakikita ko mga trainers, ang gagaleng nila, the confidence, the passion etc. i personally get nervous when i speak in front of a crowd kaya i prefer tutoring. hay!

i know mey reviews eh ..pero di ko lang lam pano or san..
trainer din ako..pero iba yung makilala na licensed teacher ka.
sa call center kasi 'certified' ka lang ng company...
pero in fairness, madami din ako natutunan sa pagiging trainer that i'm thankful for
...and yung instructional design..curriculum development version nun sa atin...ang lam ko...

anyway...i heard na as long as you get to finish the 18 units within 2007 school year or until summer 2008, di affected nung new curriculum na kelangan 30 units of educ before you take let.

for those who will finish daw by school year 2007..can take the august let.

I've always wanted to teach when I was a lot younger.  I thought my teachers were the coolest (well, some of them).  As I got older, I wanted to teach in SPED.  But I guess it would be a pretty frustrating job since there's only as far as a special kid could go or do.  But then, that's the beauty about it, you dig really deep to believe that they can do anything and let them know it themselves.

Awww, this is sad. Six units palang kinukuha ko and kakastart ko palang this sem. Hopefully, hindi pa nila eto mapapatupad.
