my bf and i are both driving a mitsubishi lancer gsr. We named them after their plates:

mine - wikifi ( plate wkf )
my bf's - padja! ( plate pdj )

But I find myself talking to the car sometimes, usually when I'm running out of fuel, and I'm stuck in traffic....

My red Lancer is Mimi.

It used to be Mandy but then my friends teased me Madirigma daw, ayun lagi ako dami bangga etc. so I changed it to Mimi

I name pretty much everything. Hehe!

My hubby's car is named M3, short for Mazda 3. Our soon-to-be-released white Pajero will be named BK, that's what the agent calls it kasi, like a code or somethin'. My parents' car's name is Surfo. Haha! Very manly.

I named my friend's car, Jagi. She wants a jaguar kasi...the first one was Bensot...kasi before, gusto nya ng Benz.

I don't. No offense meant to those who names their cars, pero personally, I find it OA, baduy and cheap. Parang tingin ko kasi ngayon lang mga nagkasasakyan.

Nope, I don't name our cars. It would just add up to the number of things I need to memorize.

I already have a lot of other more important things to bother about. If I want to treat them or to refer to them as if they're "living things" occasionally, I'd call them by their brand or make and just prefix it with a "Si", e.g. "Si BMW", "Si Pajero", "Si Civic", "Si RAV4".
