We called our family car, a bright yellow 1970 (something forgot the exact year) Toyota, "Kamote." I don't know how it got that name. It was like a family member. I was so sad when my parents decided to sell her.

Now we don't name our cars anymore, we just call them by the year as in "Kuya, ano yung dala mo, yung 98?"

we name our honda alpha wave motor as "achieve" - because it's an ACHIEVEMENT in our first year...

AND

we name our nissan sentra as "Perse" - from the word perseverance in our 2nd year

wala silang mga pangalan. pero, we refer to them as a third person. parating may "si" sa simula. "si tamarraw", "si starex", etc.

kapag parating na nga sa bahay, ang sinasabi sa mga kasambahay "buksan mo na yung gate. nandyan na si pick up." imbes na yung pangalan ng taong nakasakay yung sinasabi.

We don't name our cars, if it's Pajero, when I need to borrow it, I just ask my dad "Can I use the pajero?" I didn't know others actually have names for their wheels
