i'm taking language lessons at berlitz, sis.  pero mandarin.  i want to try their nihongo program after i'm done with mandarin.  sayang nga kasi naka-promo nga daw yung japanese language classes nila.  they have a good program.  and they make sure that whatever language you're trying to learn, it's your instructor's first language.

ah really.. as in right now conversational ka na? pano ang way ng turo nila ng mandarin? is it just conversational or does it include reading chinese characters?

yep..included yung pagturo ng simplified chinese characters.  pero mga later part pa ng 4th or 5th level yun.

Has anyone here tried The Bridge? it's located in Makati sa Burgundy Corporate Tower. I just enrolled in a beginners Mandarin class. I told them I preferred to study only on saturdays 9 am to 12 noon para after ng shift ko sa work diretcho na ko sa school. Right now they're trying to form a group class for my preferred sched.

[textspeak!] baba niya metrobank? btw sis.. sa Chiang Kai Shek College ako nagaaral meron nga daw sila inooffer na speaking in chinese .. sa nakikita ko every sat lang siya around 8am [textspeak!] up to mga 11 30 or 12nn ata.. im not sure kasi bastaang alam ko lang everytime na pumapasok ako ng room nadadaanan ko sila ang it seems na 2 rooms ata sakop nila i think one's for the basic and the others for advance im not that sure pero for more infos call nalang kayo sa Chiang kai Shek College (high school) dun kasi [textspeak!] main campus.. dun kayo mag inquire eto [textspeak!] number its.. 252-6161 to 67 or 252-6165 ask niyo nalng the operator to connect you to the language center.. at dun na [textspeak!] kayo maginquire for more details kasi hindi ko masyado alam [textspeak!] kalakaran.. its fun learning chinese pero i would recommend  sa mga ss na medyo may kaya na sa china na kayo magaral.. kasi mas ok talaga pag dun me and friends nga are planning to go there after graduation.. kasi meron daw school sa china [textspeak!] for 6months magaaral ka hindi ko lang sure kung for lannguage ba siya it self or may iba pa.. pero for sure matututo ka dun kasi gagamit at gagamit ka talaga dun ng chinese when conversing with the people there.. hindi kasi lahat ng chinese dun marunong magenglish..

Di ko lam kasi san [textspeak!] school na un eh, i know it's in the same vicinity pero di ko lam [textspeak!] exact location. I already enrolled in The Bridge, friendly naman [textspeak!] mga tao dun and they encourage you to interact with other ppl who are taking up not just the class you've enrolled in, parang their aim is for you to meet different people din who are studying different languages. Nung saturday lang ako nag enroll, wala pang definite date kelan mag s-start [textspeak!] class since they're still forming a group class in my preferred schedule. Group class nila consists of 3 to 5 people. Hopefully may ma-form na silang group kasi excited nako matuto

mga sis, meron ba kayong alam na ibang institution na nagooffer ng portuguese lessons? (aside from languages internationale at berlitz)

nagtuturo ng Portugese before sa Ateneo, beginners.  i don't know if available pa rin ang class na ito.  it was taught by a male prof, can't remember his name, but he also teaches another language (Spanish ata).
