Mods' Recommendation: OPERA Web Browser -- any users?

help...i really can't view pictures in my email (as in kasama sya sa message, not an attachment). what's wrong kaya?

hmmm, i'll try downloading this tomorrow. matagal ba to idownload? i've been using firefox din for some time na. i've had no problems naman pero if there's something out there na better, why not diba?

Kasi in here, IE takes fast to load naman (we have broadband 100 Mbps).
Is it worth it to try Opera?

^ it also depends on your needs. in my case, the personalized web panels are very useful since i do a lot of downloading, i don't have to open my favorites (bookmarks-in opera) everytime i need to go to a certain website - may sarili silang buttons. saka in opera, i am able to see the progress of my download.

katuwa din yung widgets, and yung skins, pwede mo baguhin anytime, depende sa mood mo

^^^the problems i had with ie kasi is mas prone siya sa viruses. so i downloaded firefox. i haven't downloaded opera yet. how big is the file ba?

i love Opera!!  it's the best browser ever   back in college, almost everybody was using IE.  then when my classmate saw me using Opera, nagtaka siya.  he was asking why i bothered downloading another browser when all Windows-based PCs already had IE.  but when he saw how good Opera worked, he was hooked too

sisses,  papano ba gumamit ng Widgets?  im trying to study it sa Guide, pero di ko mashado ma grasp..

para saan ba ang widgets and what do they do?  what are they for?  pa explain naman ng konti pls...

^ yung widgets kasi na download ko puro games , di ko pa na-try yung iba (merong news, weather, etc). click widgets->add widgets->download.

lam mo, di ko pa din ma-view yung pictures sa email ko.

i downloaded it na. mabilis lang naman pala idownload. mejo naninibago pa ko. not bad but still leaning towrds firefox...

^^ Opera is a web browser, just like internet explorer, with added features like skins (parang themes sa cell phone), widgets, personalized tool bars, etc. you can download it at  www.opera.com . try it sis.

My hubby loves using Opera its cool daw kasi
pero ako,  preferred Mozilla. mas convenient kasi sa akin. I tried using opera for a week pero hindi ako makatagal kasi nga yung gmail sa opera ay walang chat feature...tuloy I cannot see who are currently online.

then parang nagloloko din sya sa wordpress (para lang naman)

pero gusto ko sa Opera ay yung nalo-load nya ulit yung last page na nakaload kahit pa naclose ko na lahat iyon.

siguro kapag okay na ang opera sa GMail ay ito na rin gagamitin ko.

^ i try to keep a window for IE na Gmail ang naka open para may chat feature pa din.  pwede naman daw yun eh.

^i like that feature too, yung niloload yung last page visited. and minsan pag nagloloko firefox sa multiply, nagsswitch ako sa opera, then it works. pero default ko pa rin ang firefox. i've gotten too used to it kasi.

I also use Opera pero yun nga walang chat ang Gmail, plain text lang ang pwede sa Friendster blogs at Yahoo mail, at saka [textspeak!] Yahoo Mail Beta, hindi rin supported.  So, I use IE naman for those features.  What I like about Opera naman is yung feature nya na nase-save yung last session.  Saka sa IE kasi napansin ko, if I open around 4 tabs na, bumabagal na sobra.  Tapos nagc-close sya mag-isa.  Sa Opera minsan kahit 12 tabs ang bukas, ok pa rin.

^based on experience. equal footing lang sila ng firefox for me. mas sanay nga lang ako sa firefox but i'm getting a hang of opera na rin.
 the things i like about opera na wala sa firefox are the ff:
-you can change the skins [although i don't do that]
-there are widgets [i haven't tried using]
-when you close the window and open it again, naloload yung last page na vinisit mo. so ok siya if kunwari you accidentally close the window.
-sometimes sa firefox hindi ko maopen ang multiply so i switch to opera. wala namang problem sa multiply.
-and the sites you most frequently visit are automatically saved in the top 10 tab for convenience

minsan lang there are site features na hindi supported ng opera. like yahoo mail beta and some gmail features.

try checking downloads.com and type opera sa search tab. there are more detailed user comments there.

I am a new Opera user and I am liking it, so far. I am still familiarizing myself with all the features.
