growing old ALONE, w/o someone to share your life with. physical things are not important, because we have no choice, magkaka wrinkles tlaga tayo.

^i agree to some extent, that's true.  acquiring wrinkles are a fact of life and growing old.  but you can have wrinkles and still look good.  ayoko lang sana magmukhang losyang or matrona, if you know what i mean.  i want to age gracefully.  which is not to say i want to look like those women na matanda na but are trying hard to dress young and be young.  wag naman sana.

in my case, yung lumabo ang mata. well, malabo na eyes ko at the moment, pero yung to the point na [textspeak!] na ma-solusyunan. ang babaw... hehe. may work/expertise kasi is "kinda" like photography in a scientific sense. eh kung malabo na eyes ko, means [textspeak!] na ako makakapag-work. pano na ang baby ko???!!! 

other than that, [textspeak!] ako takot to grow old kasi i know maraming nagmamahal sa akin.

what scares me about growing old? hmmm... ayoko pang isipin kasi na i am getting old... for me, petsa lang ang tumatanda... dada and i need to do our best to stay young... kahit sa look and stamina lang... kahit hindi na sa edad... our daughter is so young pa kasi and we are planning to have another one pa...

when you begin to lose your memory a la the notebook story nakakalungkot isipin. when my hubby dropped off some paperworks at a skilled nursing facility, while I was waiting inside the car, I saw old people on wheelchairs being stationed/parked near a glass wall so they just sit there facing the street looking at the traffic, sabi ko sa sarili ko, "ganito din kaya kami pagtanda namin?" its sad.

What scares me -- being physically unable to take care of myself.  I would rather die than need to have someone wipe my butt.

Correct.. Ms. Aquacharly,  facts of life I can handle, wrinkles, dark spots, etc.. but not being able to walk, bedridden, your grandchildren does not want to go near your because of your smell.... Ayaw ko niyan PLEASE lang:(

what scares me- is yung tipong manghihingi ako sa anak ko ng pang gamot ko o magpapa-support ako sa kanya pagtanda ko.

syempre magkakaron din naman siya ng sariling pamilya ayokong maging pabigat o maging isa pa sa iintindihin ng anak ko pagtanda ko. Promise! Kaya ngayon palang nag iipon na ko. franing eh noh.

i have two kids, both of them girls... most likely they would be married when the proper time comes... It somehow scares me to be alone when i grow old...

scared ako if ever no one bothers to check on me pag matanda na ako...sad yon! im still single and i dont think i'll ever have kids na.  gusto ko ng companion pero pano kung mauna sya mawala sa mundo...wawa naman ako!
