What scares me about growing old

wrinkles, limited na paglalakad at pagtakbo... nakakatakot kase baka hindi ko pa nagagawa lahat ng gusto kong gawin, natatakot din ako sa part na nakaupo lang ako and then maiisip ko nalang na ang dame kong hindi nagawa, nasabe sa mga kakilala un. tapos [textspeak!] ayoko saka natatakot din ako na inaalagaan ako ng sobra sobra na parang baby and naabala ko na sila...

getting old?  hmmm...i am not really that scared about the physical side.  perhaps it's bec. my mom (she's 67) is still very active at her age, she's helping my older sis and I raise our daughters;  i am more scared about having financial security and the like.  i have heard of stories how old people seem to just wither in their financial woes...whow!  that's one thing that sometimes rob me of my sleep.

im not 35 or older but i already asked myself the same question and heres my answer.

I'm afraid that I'd live my life alone and die alone. Its plain scary. As of now, I've got my mom who loves me so much but time will come that she will go..what will happen to me after then? My older sis is married and my younger bro is already in a serious relationship while I have not yet been kissed. Yeah, at age 23 ive never had a bf. could you blame if i feel freightened about these things?

bakit naman ganun ang sinabi mo? hindi ka ba confident na mabubuhay ka pa longer than what you expect? 

ako naman, takot ako tumanda ng pinagsisisihan ko mga ginawa ko sa buhay. well, I'm not saying naman na I've done everything wrong in my life. pero everybody makes mistakes, right? so, ayokong pinagsisisihan ko mga yun.

I really think I'll die young... around 45... and this really leaves no room to fear growing old, hahaha.  I also think I'll die a quick (almost painless) death.  So I'm also not that afraid of dying young, either.

I won't mind having wrinkles, saggy skin and saggy breast, because no matter what we do its always part of aging, and thats inevitable.
What scares me about growing old is...living alone. I can't bear the thought growing old without my husband and our soon to be baby. Also, im scared knowing that i did not live my life, the way i want it to be. I don't want to look back with so many regrets, and "what ifs" so im living a life the way i want it to be, not perfect but real me!
