^same here... dami sa ym contacts ko ang nagse-send ng ganyan about acai din... at first kala ko baka nagpo-promote lang pero nung halos everyday meron... nagpm ako sa kanila na mukhang napasukan ng virus yung acct nila.... di ko lang alam if may ginawa silang solution or prevention...

ah ganun pala yun, virus pala kapag may nag-buzz sa ym. ako din nagtataka kasi everytime pagka open ko pa lang eh may buzz. hindi ko naman pinansin kasi feeling ko kung may important na sasabihin eh mag-iiwan na lang dapat sya ng message instead na mag buzz lang.

bale ang may virus ay yung account nung nag buzz? once na mag reply ako, mapapasukan na din ng virus ang pc or laptop ko?

i've been receiving offline buzz's from several contacts as well. i just usually close the window, never bothered to reply. so may virus lang pala.

how would we know if our YM accountis infected w/ the same kind of virus? what if may nare receive din palang offline buzz yung contacts natin from us?

Ganyan din ang dilemma ko ngayon. Ang daming buzz messages. Eh iniignore ko pero the next time na mag-open ako ng YM eh ganun pa rin. I don't think sa akin naman yung may virus kasi mac yung gamit ko.

what do you mean by alert sound sis? Hindi ba meron na talaga nun ang YM? baka na-disable lang. to enable, click on Messenger --> Preferences --> alerts and sounds and check the sound and alert button

i figured it out. nag download na ko ng old tones from yahoo messenger.. and meron na ko new tones.. thanks!

may paraan pa ba to delete your yahoo account even if you can't remember your password? i haven't used my old account in a year. i made a new one dahil napupuno ng spam yung luma. e sabi ng sis ko i should erase all contacts and any info there bago ko daw iwan dahil nagkalat na ang mga maloko sa web ngayon. so i have been trying to login to my old account but i don't really remember kung ano na ang right password. i have changed so many times kase. dun naman sa account verification naku hindi ako papasa don dahil i put in bogus details (like it's not really my bday and the like) d ko kase akalain na magagamit ko talaga ang email. ano po kaya maganda gawin??

from what i know if you haven't logged in to your old account for a year, disbled na yun! that happened to my old excite.com email... when i realized that i needed it, naglog-in lang ako ulit and that's the time na na-enable ko siya but wala na laman yung address book & mailbox ko...

^ pero magkakaiba ang policy nang mga webmails db like sa AOL ata pag 3 or 4months hindi lang disabled burado na ang email addy mo. sa yahoo kase i had an experience na [textspeak!] isa nabura and [textspeak!] isa naman ok pa. ang weird
