^yep sa yahoo messenger its possible that they can hack yung conversation mo in a conference(if stored yung conversations) or can add you kahit di mo siya kilala. Because everyone can use yahoo,all sorts of people. Kaya nga maraming bugs din ang yahoo.

Here's one example of phishing scheme:
The attack starts with an IM message from a user's buddy list. The message directs the users to a site where they log in and reveal their Yahoo identity and password. The phisher then gains access to all of the users personal ID stored as part of the individual's Yahoo account.

-According to security firms Akonix and IMlogic. For now, the scheme appears to be limited to the Yahoo's IM network.

  I believe this happens in e-bay and myspace also.  You are already logged in, however, a mirror site will appear, asking for you to log in again.  Fortunately, I'm using firefox, and it detects some mirror sites.

Via e-mail, you may get an e-mail suggesting that you need to go to ebay because your account will be suspended if you don't. There is a link and it does look similar to the genuine message you would naturally get from them. But if you look closely, your name won't appear like it should.

I have a question lang po ms. rory, can AVG, and spybot detect these viruses or keylogging components?

guys help me naman pls. weird problem ng ym eh. when your typing dun sa chat window you can see what you're typing. when you hit enter to send walang lumalabas sa window. pati yung narereceive mo na messages di mo mabasa. ive tried checking seetings ganun pa din. walang nabago. tried deleting and downloading it again. still the same. check ko din internet connection, wala naman problem. pati settings ng internet chineck ko na din.

^think so, but they are web-based. a popular multi messenger na not web-based is trillian.

nga pala, yahoo has a web-based messenger na. from what i read, it has the same feature of google talk where conversations are saved/logged into your email. haven't tried it though.
