can anyone help me, my ym has a virus, i dont know how to solve it.. please....

it's not your YM that has a virus but rather your PC .. i think it's one of those messages that asks you to click a certain website, tama ba?

check your PC for virus/spyware ..

meron din sa ym or galing sa ym,uhmm hirap kasi explain dito..so luckyfernz explain mo po ano nagpprompt sa pc mo bakit mo nasabi sa ym virus..

i hope someone could help me with this. is it possible for someone using GAIM to enter a private YM conference without being invited by anybody inside the conference? tia.

mga sis, sorry ngayon lang me nakapagreply.. i mean po sa YM lang talaga sya not the pc.. someone sent that to me and didnt open it ilang beses na rin namin uninstall ang ym accounts ganun pa rin may virus pa rin.. everytime i logged in sa ym ilang minutes lang may lalabas na mga sites sa account ko mismo.. please help... kasi pag nag log in din me sa ibang pc ganun din

sometimes kase..kala natin na uninstall na talaga totally yung ym but maeron pa ding naiiwang mga files kaya kelangan lahat yun burahin..install cc cleaner..then after mo uninstall yung ym mo, run that then reboot then saka mo install uli yung ym..kung may problem pa din,.i suggest reformat yung computer files..kase nung nagka prob din ako at ginawa ko na lahat..(pati sa ibang pc ganun pa din nangyayari)..nireformat ko na dahil nauubos oras ko kaka figure out!

I've been noticing that a lot of people on my YM list are sending me random messanges with links to some sites. I’ve had this before and that time it was coming from my end so now I know people are just infected by a new worm somehow

I started YM only two years ago with my company in Makati because they provided us with internet. And loved every minute of it! Bukas siya everyday. Chatting and talking to my friends in China, US, Dubai, Manila, Bicol, etc. Doesn't really interfere with work sa halip mas ginanahan pa nga ako magtrabaho.
Kaso when I transferred to Ortigas, YM is blocked with sonic wall. Sa bahay na lang ako bumabawi.

Help, while talking to someone on Yahoo Messenger they sent me a link to which I opened (foolish me) while now it keeps popping up when I'm talking to other people...is there anything i can do to stop it? thanks!

kung na-click mo na, nakapasok na. Worm yata yan. Di kaya may common YM friend tayo? hehe (OT)... kasi naka open na ko ng ganyan dati (transferred to my computer as offline YM messages, na eng-eng naman ako eh na open ko). My computer needed to be re-formatted ater that.

I got several such messages from one of my contacts, only she wasn't the one sending it.  I don't know if it was a virus or a worm, but my pc's anti-virus caught it.  Fortunately, it stopped.

^^ your PC'll get infected if you click on the link that you got from your "friend" .. pero if you'll just ignore it, your PC won't get infected .. but even if you did, your antivirus or antispyware will be able to detect it naman ..

good thing that your AV was able to detect it ..

dapat den updated ang anti-virus palage to keep these worms and other viruses at bay..

^ Thanks, sis. I thought so, too. And to think the intruder is using GAIM pa. Ang alam ko lang dati kasi, YM and MSN users can chat with each other na eh. But not enter a private conference without being invited....Bad. Naniguro lang.

sis what if po may nang hack sa pc mo? hindi ba nila mamomonitor conversation nyo kahit hindi mo nakikita? is it possible?
