to change mobile number go to: messenger preferences general then at the lowest part you can see: Signing out of Yahoo messenger check the : Always sign in to may mobile device when i exit messnger click edit Mobile device then on the lower portion: click the add alerts device then enter your phone number details there after that you can now delete the old phone number registered.

naku ganyan din naging problem ko last month..i tried to reinstall it..hundred times! but to no avail..ginawa ko na lahat paglilinis pc & niremove talaga mga files related to ym pero wala pa din,.i even contacted yahoo customer service..but of course, they're not much of a help..til i decided to just reformat my pc anyway..ayun, working properly na sya!
but try to reinstall it first..make sure deleted na lahat files ng ym before downloading fresh copy of ym..pag ayaw pa din..reformat the pc na..kasi yung sa akin, though walang nababasang virus ek ek..nireformat ko pa din coz you'll never know..goodluck!

heheh..dali lang po yun sis.. nung una nga wala akong kaalam alam..wala din ako matanungan, puro text..hirap intindihin dahil dami commands sa pc..i had to learn it myself..ayun..succesful naman..my hubby's so proud.. ang ginagawa ko po icocopy ko muna lahat important files sa pc before reformat..saka may copy na talaga ko nung mga yun incase may mangyraing di maganda sa pc.. medyo matagal lang talaga magreformat especially yung pag install ng mga ek ek para magfunction ng maayos pc..but its worth it naman..and napagana ko nga ym..

if you have na existing number
1) open Yahoo! Messenger
2) click  Messenger >> Prerefences
3) under General tab, click "Edit Mobile Device", then your browser will open ..
4) look for the "delete" option there (the one with the trash can below)
5) you will be then directed to the next page, click on "delete device"

now, that you're down with that part:
1) open Yahoo! Messenger ..
2) click Messenger menu and choose "Sign in to Mobile Device"

the country should be "Philippines" and the number should be "9xxxxxxxxx" .. that should be the format ..

5)click NEXT, click DONE ..

hmm, it's for YM only .. pero the voice quality in YM is quite good din naman .. dapat nga lang mabilis talaga yung internet connection mo and wala ka dapat dina-download or ina-upload ..

you know what .. to save you guys the trouble of reformatting a PC kung magkaproblem, the easiest way is to make an image of your drive's partition (particularly the OS) after formatting your PC and just load it if your OS goes ga-ga ..

.. i did that and it saves me a lot of time reinstalling the same programs. ..

depende kung ano yung na-install nyo sa PC nyo ..
mine is around 5GB (naka-install na lahat ng softwares na ginagamit ko) .. i usually save it in a different partition para mas madaling ma-access ..
